Thanks guys, I have found the reason.
It is a Safari issue as those options do not show up when I click on the user name, it takes me straight to their profile page. On IE4 it works just fine.

Thanks Rusell, award much appreciated.
As an old fart who did his time as an apprentice in a Ford dealer (Houghtons, WA) in the late 60's and early 70's (what an era!), I sometimes have something to offer which I feel should be shared. And i get enjoyment from doing so. Not much time to contribute these days - still working but not in the auto industry - but regular visits and reads, and much information gained from the forum. Cheers.

As mentioned in the initial post - the nomination tabs, has been limited to a couple of usergroups for the time being, whilst the system is being refined.
In time it is intended that nominations will be accepted from other usergroups as well. These nominations, are being reviewed and manually entered into the system, one at a time atm. |

When I click on someone's user name, I'm taken straight to there profile. No drop down box for me. I'm using Google Chrome fwiw.
Is this a glitch of some sort or an issue with chrome? |

interesting idea, but i believe it would best be kept as it is, exclusively selectable by the donating members.

When you nominate someone, do you see what post they were nominated on? I nominated someone and it wasn't on a post but on overall user contribution. If it plays a factor (as in posts are checked for validation) in whether they are approved or not, then I will ensure I nominate on a worthy post.

The post makes no difference as the information isn't passed through (although I am working on amending it so that it does). The ideas is really to recognise contributions beyond the single post level.
Cheers Russ

Question for Russ and crew.
I've thanked a number of posts. Do these posts count towards an award for an individual member? Does the thankee see who the thanker is? |

No & no, anyone else can remove "thanks" too. My understanding; it is just a button that anyone can turn on or off. http://www.fordforums.com.au/showpos...59&postcount=5 Quote:

I have noticed that the very first Chairmans Awards has been given out to very worthy recipients.
Congratulations Auslandau and Spoolman. Thanks for all the effort you guys put into the forum. It is not said enough but it is appreciated by this member as well as others I am sure. .

Just saw this thread today, just shows how observant I have been of late...
Great idea Russ, will go a long way to helping the not so regular members and those new to the site who to trust most when it comes to information. Also it is nice to see those who regularly contribute get their deserved recognition.
