If you don't reset the trip computer it will keep working out overall average consumption since last time it was reset, which could well be over 20,000km, you're not going to see any difference on the TC after this many km.

I got from Adelaide to Hoppers Crossing on one tank of fuel, with about 30km left on the DTE.

Now it's on about 12.8L/100km, mostly 80-110kmh driving.

EF-EL sedans have 65L tanks as well, according to every Ford spec sheet.
