Jesus jumping christ, did Ford AU just wake up and smell the petrol?
good work on the pricing. Not since the original XR5 and Fiesta ST pricing have they got it right.

Pleasantly surprised with this pricing, lots of value for both engines.

Happy days. Nice and cheap and aftermarket parts a plenty!!!!
How much will a 2.9 KB blower kit be for this thing?

Well if you look from a volume perspective then you would think a blower kit will be cheaper than what we have had in the past..much cheaper.

How hard is it going to be to put a baby seat in the back?

Hmm to hang onto the GT for a while longer or not...

I'm still stunned that in this day and age, they persist with a ragtop.

Have you ever owned a vehicle with a mechanical hardtop. After a couple of years they are a nightmare.

This....while only one thing out of a excellent list of inclusions missing no Recaros going by O/S reports would suck. Had a hunt around and can't see any mention of Recaro's anywhere in the Aus reports. Bummer but still a bigger high than I've had out of a Ford release for YEARS.

This is a mega surprise. Under 60K so no LCT. Unless.you want the convertible.
Finally Ford have woken up.and want to SELL cars for a change......
At those prices the roads will become Stang City.

Surely it couldn't be any worse than a ragtop with the hood deteriorating over time giving rise to water leaks. In any event the new Mustang's hood is "mechanical", just clad in fabric or whatever it is they use these days instead of steel and glass.

I'm going to take a wild guess at the recaros and say they might be left out due to the average Australian man or his wife not being able to fit comfortably...

I have a set of Recaro Sportster CS (4k seats - Lotus Evora, Focus RS) in my Nova and I "fit". 80/90kg, 185cm....

Nah, its just an elaboration on the pricing discrepancy between AUS and USA....was bound to be debated. End of the day, supply chain is expensive so we who live in the @ss end of the world have to pay extra.
Future state, stang may be made in Thailand or Vietnam or somewhere else in Asia, so we may see prices tumble eventually. As it stands, pricing is good, I honestly expected gouging from a Godzilla claw.....surprised to the max.

These articles are crazy, once you factor in the US purchase price, premium pack and performance pack, you are looking at around US$33k. Accounting for the exchange rate takes the price to around AUD$43k. RHD tooling costs would be amortised into the price, meaning $45k isn't that outrageous.

Already expressed my interest when I was forlornly expecting a near $70k pricetag, this release has me wanting to go down there right now and hand over some cash!

Good price for AUS, Ford NZ have predictably decided to price gouge

Will the Ford dealers know what to do when all these people are suddenly walking into their yard and not just walking past?

Have to say, I was suitably shocked at those prices. I was expecting at least 50k for the 2.3 and 60K+ for the V8.

Barring the usuals (XR6T, SS ect) what other car offers RWD with 233kw?

Once Falcon/Commodore are done, Ford will be laughing!

Ford will sell these in the 1000s at that price especially being speced up with only paint/wheels as options. Great value 60k drive away
