just in case we are still arguing about whether or not two doors are sports cars, I had a 76 corolla 2dr. top up the fuel and oil and you could do a blazing 85 k's per hour without fearing for your life, HOWEVER, every, and I mean every insurance company in qld considered it a sportscar based on the fact it had 2 doors and rear wheel drive.

also, the rear wheel drive was only a consideration for most of the insurance companies, a couple nocked me back because of the missing two doors, they didnt care it was rwd (for that year it was a little rare)

Have seen a couple of Nissan Stageas ... and Toyota Chasers as well.
Still a rare item on Aussie Roads ... although you'll see more of these up in QLD than down in Sydney

I once saw what looked to be a hardtop Mustang (late 60's) semi-stretched by about a metre and converted into a ute (tub, not trayback). It was maroon, and had no mags or anything, it looked pretty run down. This was whilst in the Tasmanian back-country. I would have got a photo but i had no camera :(

Did anyone else notice that the picture of the Mustang sedan appears to be a photoshop? You can see the opposite b-pillar through the rear windscreen. Compare the shape of the left rear window with the one on the right.
