The problem I have is my wife hates me buying her things without her prior knowledge. Although this does make it easier to choose what she wants cause she knows, just once I'd like to surprise her.

So keep these ideas coming cause I'm going to finally get one up on her this year.

Well this year my better half is getting

A new iPad
A bottle of Miss Dior Cherie
A ticket to see Legally Blonde
A flight to Sydney to see Legally Blonde
A nights accomodation for her and her girlfriends in Sydney for Legally Blonde.
And I suppose a flight home from Sydney after seeing Legally Blonde.

If she is a good girl I said we might go to Hawaii for Easter :P

Thinking back to the first present I bought my wife when we were dating.
I didnt go over the top just bought a couple of nice jackets. But I decided to put them into a really big box so that when I brought it in it looked like I was really struggling with this massive present.
Couple of mistakes I made, bringing it in with her parents there,
not noticing as I brought it in from my mother in laws gasp there was a picture of dishwasher on the side of the box and also with that having her parents think that I might be asking her daughter to move out.

She loved it though and thought it was hilarious.

One way? But that would mean.....oh no, no no, you'd be in the dog house after that! One way ticket, yea right! <sarcasm>

Heeey, that's what us girls do.....we think between the lines! If you're going to get clothes for her, offer her a shopping trip on you. Don't go guessing her size.

Can't work women out sometimes.....Strange creatures.
Oh, you don't say?? She wasn't too excited?
She said it as a "ooh yea we need one of those but don't YOU even think of getting it for me as my Xmas present bc this is not a hint" right? Well we take pride in how strange we can be.....though not strange to other women, only to men it seems.

While the basic Ford Six was code named Barra, the Turbo version clearly deserved its very own moniker – again enter Gordon Barfield.
We asked him if the engine had actually been called “Seagull” and how that came about.
“Actually it was just call “Gull”, because I named it that. Because we knew it was going to poo on everything”.

25 day around Australia cruise for Mummy dearest and a bottle of red wine Penfolds Bin 28 from 1986 for the old man, his work mates have got him hooked on red wine this year, so he's gone to more expensive tastes than beer :O

Still have to order the present for the sister, thinking about sending her quad biking over Gippsland, LOL.

I spent $12 on my missus this year, yep a whole $12, but what it is she loves. I bought a vase and some fancy gems, and then ordered a floating candle kit from Thinkgeek. Basically you add water to the vase, then add a sprinkle of this blue powder to the water to turn it blue, add some vegetable oil and then put these wicks into a plastic base. Then you push the base below the oil line and the candle is made. Just light the wick. The floating candle kit was a whopping $3, came with 3 bases, heaps of coloured powder and about 18 wicks, the vase was $12 but scanned at $6 and the gems were around $3. She loves it (I made it already so she could use it before we go away) and it cost nothing, but was something she loves.

No pressies here yet. Normally we do that after lunch, but there's no one coming over, so we're not doing lunch.
