I use mine all the time, just control temperature with the heater knob on my Focus.

I have had the AC on in my 2003 BA for 6 years since
I bought the car. All good and still works nicely, original gas,
ice cold or warm to suit the season.

some people have said the BA is a better air con but if it keep s you cool and that is the important thing


Also I have become proactive in thing like motor cars because I am unable to do a lot of the mechanical work so what i look for is reducing break downs

And if running the air con all year keep my car out of a mechanics hands then i am happy

My AU Fairmont Climate Control was set at 22 degrees ALL THE TIME. Never had a problem with it in 14 years and 300K.
