Tyres im not sure, just the road tyre.
They were changed only to not make the stock alloys dirty.

This has an LSD , slightly better than a single spinner: I believe the G6ET would run a much better 60ft with an LSD over the factory setup, either way it's impressive as is. Last edited by Falcon Coupe; 29-09-2008 at 09:39 PM. |

what's involved with the 'tune' on the FG F6? is boost given a hike or just removal of torque tags and the usual tidy up of mixtures and rev limiter?
the sort of figures these things are spitting out at the wheels i'm beginning to think ford were rather conservative with the 310kw engine figure!! .3 of a second gain with MT's. not too shabby. you certainly can steer! |

We ran our FG XR6t down the track a couple of weeks ago.
It ran 13.5 @ 107MPH standard tune and air filter and then ran 12.94 @ 110MPH with K&N and a custom tune all with the standard 18" wheels and tyres supplied by Ford. Working on the next upgrade package now, will keep you guys posted.

well on the 8th mile in Bairnsdale i ran a 9sec flat pass as my best.
I had a LOT of traction issues, and i found it best to run with traction control off and take care of it myself. I found the best way for me was to launch at about 1500rpm, run ~ 3/4 throttle for most of 1st, then floor it for 2nd. Im finding the rev limiter a bit annoying too, sucks the big one when you miss a shift by the tiniest margin.

Yes the standard tyres weren't to good for traction.Might try letting some pressure out next time, but we wanted to get a realistic time the way the car come from Ford.

Your about 20 minutes from Spiro @ Autotech in Granville. He has tuned two of the fastest BF F6s in the country. I'd give him a call.
