when u say 1500w amp im asuming it is the response presision one to match the subs. i got a 800w version running at 700wrms and have beat a guy with ur amp, both runnin 2 x 12" subs. funny how the world works.

Yer it is the 1500wrms amp.. i use to have 2 800's and this one eats them.. Has heaps more power, runs cooler, and the controls are much more reliable..

When you say you beat him do u mean u out DBed him?? I would say it was more to do with the system setup than the amps mate.. sub enclosures and the subs themselves are generally where the noise is made..

Cheers,
Nik

whats your opinion on ported or sealed boxes? whats better?
iv always liked ported better personally, my mate has ported and iv got sealed and the bass in his seems to last longer where mines proberly more sharp edged.

Sealed or ported depends hugely on personal preference and the sub's specifications..

Here's another pic from a local show'n'shine on friday..

Did they let you buy 4 plates or have you taken them off the car for the show and put them in your boot?

That sub install is insane... I would hate to imagine the dB from all those subs...

One question though, you say you are only running 1x 1700w RMS. Surely you would need a crapload more to run them all properly! Then again I am no professional, just going by what I've picked up along the way with my own install.

Also, the pic above does your paintjob much more justice. Congrats

Yeh, the subs would be under running. But he's buying another 1500wrms amp so should make it alot better then.

As tabletennisman said another amp is in the pipeline.. Should have it installed by next weekend..

Believe it or not the colour in the new pic doesn't look anything like my car.. it must have been cos of the dodgy camera phone and cos we were in the shade.. The pic makes the car look blueprint, when it is actually velocity..

Cheers,
Nik

looks great. i didnt know the boot was that big lol. personally i think you should tidy up the wiring, looks a bit messy i think. you would have put so much shame to the people who turned up with the 2 12'' and thought they were huge. did you do the install?

Yer i know the wiring looks a bit messy but when i whack the new amp in i will tidy it up a bit..

I did the entire install from conception to fabrication to installation.. I had a mate help with the fabrication so i could get it done quicker..

Cheers,
Nik
