It appears no camping or spectators this year, probably a cap like last year.
We just got an email about tickets rolling over till 2022

Hi Guy's
I went to Bathurst race in 2019 stayed until the very end of the race. I hadn't been for a long time because i used to go with a group of mate's but now there married got kid's and some have grand kids and they didn't want to go. I was a little disappointed "when i payed for my ticket and asked the lady " can i go up to Reid Park"? The answer was "no" so i had to be happy with a spot in the grandstand on Hell Corner. I am not sure if i will go this year as i am worried about COVID still. As some of you have already said "if there are people that have COVID and do go to the race the town of Bathurst is going to suffer". |

Hope it was given the flick.
Stupid race of "production cars" yet basically they are nothing like it. Back in the day they were tricked up sure but you could buy them. The V8 series is shockingly boring IMO |

It is a worry form me in Victoria, I know I can go to NSW, but I am unsure if I will be able to get back in, it might be different in December, I am hoping so. It will be with great reluctance and at the last minute I will roll over my camping tickets

I hear you Trev , i rolled over my ticket again and my cohorts in NSW who book the campsites have done the same as even if there is camping it will be in the paddock ( where we stay )and being a 6 day motorfest i assume officials and teams will get first dibs anyway.
After watching it last year with a Ford Legend i don't think i would have enjoyed it at the track with the restrictions anyway. This year may be different , but it's the camping and camaraderie and watching the area build up as the fans arrive from all over the country that make it the event it is. I ,like you, worry about getting back in to Vic so it will be TV again although no legend this year as he's driving in the TCM and itchy to get back on a track. A 46 year run ended by a virus where 3 kids and job changes didn't put a dent in it , i'm shattered. They did extend the deadline to rollover till Thursday but i had already done mine and in all honesty they could have made it to next month and i don't think it would have changed my decision. Should things change i may try and buy a ticket and make a late dash , but i feel it unlikely. Roll on 2022 |

I just received my entry for an upcoming event at Sandown. It was crystal clear that all entrants, crew and spectators had to be double vaxed, and proof will be required for entry. In their words “there will be no exceptions”.
I understand that this will be adopted by Motorsport Australia, and will be a condition of the licence for the Bathurst Race, and any meeting held under their licensing. |
