Be nice to run matching rims front and back, and something bit lighter than the steel rims on front....only a matter $$$$$ LOL

He has been booted from track twice, hence will now run with streeters (atleast for a long while) as the car is never getting a cage.
Used to run GOODYEAR SLICKS car would start weaving at 660' and by 1000', the foofer valve would be puckering! Run M&H RACEMASTERS, when I can race, which isn't here in SA. I think the DETROIT LOCKER must've made it particularly touchy. You only have to be 1/2 pound out on air pressure in one of the tyres an it didn't want to go straight! P.S.Give it 6 to 24 months and they'll forget at the track, then go back, run and get booted off again...LOL

Back out on the streeters now, slippery track, wheel spin and hot air.

13.0 @121

11.7 @124.5

11.5 @124.5

might be able to fit in one more pass.

Reckon the tyre slip happens at the start or the end mate?
I know when I study the bike telemetry the tyre slip at the top end can be huge, like the front wheel be doing 270km/h while the rear tyre is pushing close to 290km/h with the difference being tyre slip, and this is just pushing air... I imagine pushing a big old Falcon through the traps at over 200km/h is going to result in something similar....

I used that trick to good effect at Ravenswood way back when, did a 10.8 on a stock Kwaka on two wheels then launched with a mono and sat it up on one wheel through to the traps all the way at only 196km/h for an 11.9 on one wheel, lol. Then they kicked me out ;-)

OK so after sometime Block was able to take it out on a new set of radials.

Track was slippery as, but 2 new PB's 1/4 mile mph (radials) and 1/8 mile mph (radials), now just need to get to a prepped track. The original 10.83 was on a 1.551 06ft and this 10.84 on a 1.648 60ft so some interesting times to come

Latest (time slips to come). Yesterday at the Test and Tune was the perfect track prep to run a PB.

The first pass for the day albeit hitting the brakes not to run a 10 felt strong. We thought a new PB would be set but it was not to be

1st pass car ran a bit over 101mph half track the rest of the runs seemed to be lacking any power (although the difference at half track was less than 2mph).

This was evident after 3 runs when the plugs were pulled and showed to be runnning lean.

So it looks like time has finally come to upgrade to a decent tank/fuel pick up ie 1/2" and maybe a fuel pressure guage near the carby.

Thats drag racing better luck next time.

10.91 and a few low 11s for yesterday before the rain set in :(

Maxxis, just street radials? What size and any more info. I will be running 15" simmons on the rear of teh XY and want some street radials which will give me the best grip.
Cheers and awsome effort. That is unbelievably quick for what it is.

I think Bob Jane sell the Maxxis, think around the $80 mark for 205 70 14s

That is extremely fast especially on street rubber,a few of my mates struggle to run that in full race trim. Well done.

Hemi Power we are trying to sort the fueling issue and may even screw the radials on the rims (they turn about 2-3 inches ea meet -as can be seen on previous photos and marking) and see if he can't beat the 10.83
