Meguiars for me....found it has best balance of price, easy to use, good results. Thinking about getting into some of the more hard core products used by some guys around here, but can't be bothered with the price/trouble given i'm working on a 12 years old car! Still, the old EF has had Megs since day one, and the protection it has given her has worked so why change.

All this polishing is great guys but SEAL IT!!!!! With a sealant or wax! Gosh *rips his hair out*

I tell you guys what. I will stand by Polyglaze untill the day i die. There Diamond Polish takes a dirty big dump right on Meguiars Deep Crystal Polish. And then sets it on fire.....

Polyglaze products are well priced and are very very good. I would reccomend them to anyone who wants to clean there car up well but doesnt wanna fork out alot. Does a dirty big krap over Kitten aswell. I used Kitten....ive used water and dirt that works better than there polishes and waxes

I use Meguiars and polyglaze, but really, polyglaze is very good value, Mequiars is like the "must have, its the best product" but, Polyplaze does the job as good as the Meguiars stuff at 1/2 the price.

Mind you, thats just for stuff like dash/interior stuff, window cleaner and quick wax/detailer.

I found the Meguiars wax and polish good, but never really tried alot of brands. But all that stuff keept my red car from turning pink...

Bowdens....

I love the pollish because it doesn't leave white residue on the black bits, like mirror surrounds and window rubbers.

OK - standing by for the flamed replies... but what really works well for me is Eagle One Wax AS-U-DRY!

After a wash and final rinse, you spray only a small amount onto each panel... you then use the chamois to spread the water/wax all over the car - no need to worry about drying the car, just spread all over.

You then wring out the chamois and wipe the car dry - and the wax leaves a perfect finish and the way that the water beads means the car is dry very quickly.

I am fortunate enough to have a nearly 4yr old car - and the paintwork is still like new. Never used anything else.

But I did try to use this stuff on a friends older car that had not been cared for, and it didn't do anything... so I think it is superb at keeping a polished car looking good - not so good at restoring a bad paint finish.

I have been very fussy about this sort of thing for the last 23 years, and this is the best that I can find. I don't have hours to spend on the car each weekend, so this stuff is just brilliant for a quick wash with better than showroom results!

No doubt the Mothers stuff you are using has fillers so the spider webs (swirls) are still there but have been filled, you will find that if you dont use mothers after a month of regular washing the swirls will come back.
