How far is newcastle ppls?... I was thinking.... Newcastle.... then head down south.... so that we all get an equal opportunity.... like... meet at newcastle.... end up on the way to sydney?

In saying that, are there any good roads there though?

How about Blue mountains as well? Any suggestions?

Mind you i will prob need a service right after this cruise.... lol

Oh right... well its West Gosford Maccas on the Pacific Highway.... first maccas on the way into town

Yes or No?

Looking at the map, where does Wiseman Ferry Road go to if you head northish? What are the roads north of White Mountain like?

GEORGE DOWNES DRIVE looks good... anyone been through there? It heads north from Somersby through to the Mangrove to Cedar Bush, towards Bucketty ish way

I say Old Pacific Highway, I recall it ahsn't been done yet with the Eurofordclub, although Wisemans Ferry has been. Timbo, got any advice for a Gosford-ish cruise? Perhaps up the Old Pac to Newy?

The club has done OPH from Hornsby to Terrigal countless times so its a well known track, last time we did the OPH we detoured and chaged the ending for Woy Woy which was good because it was different.

The club has also done the Wisemans Ferry road all the way to the ferry and back through McGraths Hill....its a mega long day for the Newy follks....

If you want to do something between Gosford and Newy you better get Timbo's advice as he will know that area better than any of us having a guess.

Don't forget the Bells Line of Road through the Blue Mountains including Springwood Road to Yarramundi, guys! Some good hairpin bends and uphill/downhill corners and bends.

Club? What club?

By the sounds of zetecs PM, I thought we were under seige by a rival club!

I'm onto it guys, let me think about things for a few seconds so we don't do the same boring old cruise as always! I've got some insider knowledge for a great drive, I'll post within days.

I also like Eddies idea, I'll look into that further too.

Sorry I haven't been able to look at this over the last couple of days, a Drive In sounds good, I organised one with my last club and it was good fun.

Blacktown has a drive in that's easy to get to, and easy to get some Western roads from there too. Don't forget a west Sydney day is going to be a long one for us Newie people so we'll have to organise it with a view of an optional part if the day gets too long for us.

I'll be there for the Peter Warren Day. I'll be in the Falcon, but I would definatley like to pop over to the Euroford display, say hi and meet a few people. Maybe if you have some Euroford stickers, I'd be happy to grab one.

Cheers

The Drive-In can be good but in Winter you an have that problem of window fogging causing you viewing problems...thats provided that's the reason why you are at the Drive-In ;) ?

Fast-Eddie's idea is a good one as there are some great roads up there but I would also be very aware that such a drive makes for a huge day for the Newy guys/girls...

I'll definitely go to the All Ford Day and am interested in the Drive-In idea.

For those of you who can remember the old Penrith Drive-In, there was an adjacent hill affectionately known as "Bludger's Hill" because you could view the screen from the roadside and on a hot summer's night you could get the sound from the cars in the drive-in and therefore you didn't have to pay to go in. We were cheapskates back then. Ha Ha!

Timmeh, the offer still stands re: crashing (that's not the car type crashing) at my home.

Guys can I please ask for a show of hands as to who is interested in coming to Wagga for the AFD, I'd really like to see a lot of you all here but atm I have had no real interest. Im obviously not going to force you to come :hihi:, but it'd be nice if people wanna come down for it - good chance for NSW and VIC members to meet up as Wagga is about halfway.
