Looks like it would be a fun car to have around over there. Traction not a problem? I would have thought a ute especially might be a bit harder to have on snow.

Great thread and top "can do" attitude. These days with the internet and fast courier shipping it makes it possible to source parts and information quickly, so no reason more cant do the same. Afterall, these cars are not hugely complicated and with a bit of nous and research, and help from blokes like Chris @ Rapid (he is a top bloke) it means its possible to maintain a Falcon, and even modify one pretty much anywhere in the world.

I have mentioned this before
I went on E Bay UK a few months back and typed in Falcon it came back with 3 of them all AU Utes and all of them as 2004 models very strange since we stopped making them in 2002 PS Did you get the proper year number plate for your BA? I would have thought you would end up with a Q plate thanks john |

As for the number plate sv04 represents 2004. Q registrations are for custom built kit cars. The au models all listed as 2004 will be from when they were imported just dealers are to stupid to realise this. The ute drove vgreat in the snow. Luckily my woek has a nic big carpark to play inaswell. It will be modified but ill settle for 450hp easily achieved with maps and pipework. |

its had to have a bit of rewiring on the rear number plate as it fused due to corosion but under the cab and rear chassis is pretty clean. Not much rust but i have since brushed it down and coated it with industrial rustproofing from my work free ofcourse.
There have been a few broken bolts but nothing more than a normal car. |

Its pretty easy to get the falcon imported.
Just usual taxes etc i have all the docs from new and all the import info. If you look at the pics you shall see the rear foglight is mounted to the bottom right hand side of the bumper in the pic. Its just a square box bolted tlo the bumper to pass its yearly mot test. |

Hi, I had the AU2 XR8 (actually its on my drive at the moment).
I've just sold it to a bloke that lives in Paris to make way for another XA coupe. The dreamscience F6 is up for sale on pistonheads.. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/lis...&Submit=Search I'm onto my 5th Falcon since I've been over here, never had any problems at all, the only problem is I'm not willing to pay all the import duties/taxes and issues with having to get it type approved for UK roads, so you are stuck with the limited number of 2nd hand cars that end up over here.

I don't think he is really all that fussed about selling it tbh..
It is pretty rapid, went for a blast in it a few years ago. There are a few of us over here now, have you had a look at Sandy's site www.aus-ford-uk.co.uk Had a nice visitor the other day... I spent a few years not too far away from you in sunny Forres, there were some great roads up there for the old V8!

Im sure ive been on that site sandy rings a bell. As far as i know the guy who brought my ute in has another he imported at the same time as mine from new. Would be nice to see a few other ba falcons over here. |

Adam is a top bloke, he remapped the XR8 for me a few years back, its all good!
I wish there were more BA or later cars over here, there are a quite a few XR utes that seem to keep popping up but I've not seen so many sedans. There was a black XR6 sedan in Edinburgh that went for pretty reasonable money not so long ago, fairly gutted I was going up with every intention of buying it but it went the day before I could get up there. Bugger!!
