V8 v TURBO will always invoke some interesting discussion and people will always go hell for leather for their own product / preference.

ok well lets look at that, your car has run i think from memory with all the usual bolt ons 13.4 ish?? @ 111 i think? With a cat change, injectors and edit in a manual F6 yove got 12.8's @ 116.. i would say thats a fair bit off differance :

If was circuit or drag racing then I'd select the F6

In the real world I'd go the GT as it has more on-road presence and the joy of driving a V8.

yeah thats why i put it in brackets. just tryin to make the point that old muscle can't be 'beaten' (theres the brackets again even if it's not spelled right). if i personally had the money to by 1 of the 2. i'd go the GT only just cause it's part of 'our' heritage. but as i said for power the typhoon does it for me. but i still don't like the idea of 'cheating' by pushing air into the motor where as the 'muscle cars' (real cars) used to suck it in!

must be someting in melbourne... havent seen this "Spooling" happen here, ill ask Geea if he does it.. I know when i ran 11;s in muzza 420's XR6T , stock exhaust and engine i didnt spool it, cut a good light and all

What are you on about? I am seriously considering another V8 when the lease expires on my BA even though the Turbo six is quicker.

2points here . i have seen spooling and it sux . and should be outlawed. but that's me
2nd point is yes the f6 is faster than a gt anyday anytime . woithout spooling. and that's not just me . thats the answer i got from the FPV DRIVE DAY INSTRUCTOR. ( who drives both at the track every day.)
mods i wont comment on i would think the v8 boss could be specked up to the gt-40 engine in the states . anythings possible . in that case i'd suspect a 9 second run would be possible . but i just havent seen one yet.

well my old man only dreams that he could get one. instead his 1st 'car' was a XR ute and has never bought another car! except a XR sedan, XR station wagon and a 302 Fairlane for mum. All getting 'done up' at the moment! anyway i'm test driving the GT with an auto and a typhoon with a manual tomorrow!

Its what some ppl claim all Turbo drivers do.... but they dont..... They sit on the line and wait for everything to perfect before launching and done worry about the car in the other lane........ Ok for testing but not RACING!

the thing is he asked for the GT in the auto but they only have auto so they said to have a go in typhoon with a auto.

To the thread starter in all honestly and jokes aside i have a BA GT and am fortunate enough to drive a F6 and be a passenger in a BF F6 and the BF F6 is much quicker and faster,The GT though has a great presence about it that gets alot of people to take notice.I would love a BF F6 in my drive as much as a SRT8.

what do you mean by everything 'perfecting'? like when the turbo kicks in? i know kcuf nothing about turbo cars so any info would be great.
