You sir are more indecisive than a busted trimatic. Here's your options:
A) Skyline: Lose money selling Da ED. Buy phat thrashed Skyline. Get Da-fected, then discover it's a cut-n-shut grey import with an RB20 (N/A) engine transplant instead of the RB26TT Da seller said it had. B) Falcon: Keep Da ED. Think about Da future. Save Da money for something better. Da-ve- |

^^so true, seriosly dont buy a god damn skyline. i knew someone in bendigo who bought a skyline, i wouldnt have a clue which one...all the same to me! and he crashed it and wrote it off in the first couple of weeks, now hes left with no car and a massive loan to pay off for a lot of years!

As much as I loved the XR6, the car I have now is on another level in terms of performance, handling and braking. That being said, the Falcon was cheaper to maintain and insure, although it used more fuel. The only way you can make the decision is to actually test drive them and see which you prefer, for me there was an obvious choice after driving a couple.

A brand new Performance Inport Skyline would be *****in wicked, but like said you wont get as much for your falc as you paided for it and the chances of getting a shockin knock off skyline are pretty high......had a mate sell off a few of his first cars to buy a skyline, which 'looked' unreal, but really dogged him on power and died after a while, now he has a XR6T....

so let me get this straight (correct me if i'm wrong):
you like R33's so if you were gonna get, say a R33GTR you'd be up for at least 20k without insurance, reg, road worthy, so i'm guessing pushing high 20's maybe even $30k... granted they're awsome and powerful but that would be stock. your gonna sell your ED and get... $4k?? so where's the rest of the money come from?? Loan?? Or saved up?? Also your on your bloody P's for another 2yrs!! how you gonna drive one without the amount of money you'll have to pay to the government from the Power/Weight fines you'll get... along with all the defect notices if you start modding it. if you put half the money you'd spend on a GTR into the ford it'd be awsome and much more individual IMO. but hey.... IT'S YOUR BL00DY CHOICE!! WHO CARES WHAT WE THINK :

Personally I would choose a Skyline anyday. The pure thrill, adrenaline and excitement of it is just uncomparable...unless its a quicker turbo car of course. While I do love the Falcons now as Skylines are becoming a bit more common (taking away the novelty of having one)...and modded Falcons (when done right) are bloody awesome...I'd still go the Skyline. If ya do...you may never feel satisfied driving a NA car again! I know I don't...and I love my MANUAL!! ED XR6...loll

Was looking at a skyline before I bought the XR! Gonna cost $18,000 plus on road costs for a good condition freshly imported and complianced R33 and thats bog stock! add $1,000+ for intercooler and exhaust upgrade which is a necessity if u buy one! Then pray it hasnt been drifted all over tokyo for the last 10 years as it will **** itself pretty soon! For the money an R33 will cost, u could turbo a falcon and have the hottest e-series in town that would blow any skyline!!! If u want good handling braking etc buy a corolla or something.

If you buy a Skyline, will you stop making stupid threads like this?
If so, +1 for Skyline.

Get a twin turbo Suzuki Mighty Boy!
Stock specs -Power: 29.5Kw@6000rpm and Torque: 59Nm @3500 This one ran a 17.4 Then again Fords are nice, and parts are easier to find than skylines!

Having driven a Soarer, a 300ZX, and a Supra, e-series "handling" can go get stuffed! As for straight line, I don't remember the specs, but I think it was 0-100km/h in 4.7 seconds for the R32. I would not bother with any of the other crylines (GTST etc), but I have to admit the GTR is an all round performance car, no matter which car manufacturer I support.

As stated earlier, skylines are way too common. How much of this "Stock skyline handling and performance" will balance the fact the guy infront of you, and behind you are in the exact same car as you? lol
Imagine if you spend that $30K on your falcon... mmmm... Even 10K... ooo... =-] And skylines if your on your P's, insurance has a new payment plan; Deposit of one left arm. Even my EL was a rude shock lol SupahStah

a 1993 GTST R33
pros: build quality, aftermarket performance, looks, reliable, handling cons: Insurance, every c*nt has one Similar Falcon pros: room, if done up will be more 'individual', potential for forced applications. cons: wont pick up chicks, poor handling, poor braking etc etc At the end of the day you cant compare the two, skyline is much better. All you need to do is buy an R32 GTR for 22kish add filters and exhaust and booyah, 12 second car.. cant do that with a falcon.... or you could just spend 22k on ur current falcon and turn it into a weapon :P But do u have the time and patenice for it?
