I'm Glad you guys have me looking at things, because now I have picked up that they have welded the bonnet rod support on the wrong side of the car.

If yours is on the passenger side, don't worry. That was the placement for 1969 models and as yours is early 70's it's probably been assembled before the changeover to the drivers side.

Cheers

Hey CosworthFreak,

Would you happen to have a photo of what the bonnet stay would look like for one positioned on the passenger side and a photo of where it locates in the bonnet?
We are starting to panels aligned properly as the mechanical are well under way and it will go back for final panel and paint in the next couple of weeks.

Mine is also a 4cyl body with a V6 in it and although it would be nice to own an original V6 body, I know for sure I love to make modifications to my cars. And if you have an original V6 body then its kinda not cool to chop away or redesign the interior. So the upside to having a 4cyl body with a 3L in it is you have a free license to build the car any way you want and not worry too much about originality.

Silver linings!

I have had it gone over and it is a V6 body, They have put the repair section in at the battery tray from the 4cyl body they wrecked when it had a hit in the front left. everything else from seat bolt mount to chassis supports are saying its an original v6.
