It is very sad indeed. I suspect in Aus we will just get higher tides, well I hope so. I am really thinking 2012 may be true.

Technicians are struggling to cool the turbines for the nuclear reactor. All power available has been diverted to drive turbines. If this fails god help us.

Watching it live here at work ... it really is surreal.
Worst earthquake in Japanese history.
The water ingress just isn't stopping ... it's still flowing through.

We have one AFF member (that we know about) there on a skiiing holiday. Glen a.k.a. EXR8ED
Have sent him text messages asking to let us know he is safe and well. None of us have had any joy but will now wait and not overload the communication system. Will post here if we get any news.

300 bodies found on Japanese coast. Also a nuclear power plant near a populated area is set to blow. I'm watching the pre tsunami water recession in Hawaii live on CNN, fox news.

It was never going to be a ten metre wave hitting Hawaii. The 10 metre wave was the one that reportedly hit Sendai. The one currently hitting Hawaii so far is virtually non-existent, but time will tell.

Actually it was a ten meter swell headed for hawii, swell does not have a direct correlation with wave size however. Current estimation is for a 6-8ft wave to hit Maui.

American talking heads are unbareably daft. There like robots yet to receive programing. Also it's very very hard to cool a reactor without sufficient H3o.
