Thanks for the replies so far, they seem mostly positive.
I'd like some input into a few things, namely what things you think could be added in addition to what we have now, and what type of tech and products you would like to see. The layout is pretty basic which sort of suits but I would like to see it changed slightly so that the articles dont go as far down on the page and either fill the side bars with some other things or remove them completely. I understand this isnt as easy as it sounds as Luke used a template he had created a while ago. I'm not up to speed on this sort of stuff this is lukes area. You may have spotted several errors in some of the articles, that would be my fault. I've never written anything like this before so I'm quite proud of my efforts haha. A bit more care will be put into issue 2. Another thing that will probably happen is we will ave 2 freature cars, perhaps a modified car and a closer to stock car. Anyone can ask to have their cars included and it will be the decision of Luke and I which ones we use. We will try to spread this out over the models so that it remains interesting If anyone would like to assist in tech doco's or product reveiws we certinally won't say no. The mag will be coming out monthly around the 15th/16th. So any comments or critisisim (constructive please!) are welcomed.

I'd like to volunteer my photographic talents I think it'd be good to do a photoshoot every month for the featured car, obviously I could only shoot vic cars, but interstaters can manage something I'm sure...

Sounds good dude. I'd like to get some more pics around and maybe into those side bars (if we keep them) to make the pages look a bit better.

The web site format is easier for the 56K club to view, where as the PDF ones from the past took a little longer

I just had a very quick glance. One thing that springs to mind, is making the pics as thumbnails and having them pop-up in a new window (to suit their size).

Well done Karl and Luke, and all other contributors. I've stuck the thread and added the link to the original post.
I strongly suggest making a .zip file containing all picture and HTM files for download. It would help my archive. |
