Christ, an Aussie did this!

POLICE have named the man they are hunting over the fatal shooting in central Melbourne today.
He is Christopher Wayne Hudson, 29, a Victoria Police spokeswoman said tonight.

But the Nine Network tonight said Hudson was a member of the Hell's Angels motorcycle gang.

I'de reckon a particular motorcycle gang HQ across the road from Fairfield Papermill might be swarming with police at the moment, if he's suspected of going there

Thought it was pretty obvious. The bikie gang is going to be pressured even more now, im sure they are always under watch in some way, but when something like this happens, it usually follows with a few more raids here and there.

Filth = who ever did it, that was definately obvious.

What makes you guys say that we are officially like America?

There were 15 people killed in 2 separate inner city massacres within months of each other in 1987. I bet people said the same knee-jerk stuff back then but we haven't noticed any steady increase in random mass murders since then.

Actually I thought you were talking about channel 9 were going to cop it from the bikies for naming them, maybe it was obvious to you.

Agreed.

I think its a bit of an overstatement to say we are getting more like the USA.

In the USA, 4 people are killed every hour by guns and i bet none or very little of it is headline news all day long like it has here today and probly most of the next few days...
Some interesting Stats on Firearms in the USA

So before you all jump the proverbial GUN and start saying we are becoming like America in that regard, take a second look before comment.

Sure we are getting some cultural similarites, but ours is not based on thiers or their history of being allowed to bare arms, not to mention our gun laws are much stricter than thiers.

Ironic that a solicitor gets murdered by a crim, and another solicitor will defend him and say it was a crime of passion and he feared for his life when all these bystanders came up to him and it was their fault, my client didn't mean to do it, the gun just went off accidentally, he didn't even know it was loaded, besides he found it and he's not a member of a bikie gang, he's just a motor cycle enthusiest.

ACA & TDT often run stories they set up with a woman being abused by a bloke and film it to see how long it takes for someone to come to her assistance. I would guess it will be even longer now, no one wants to get involved for fear of being bashed, stabbed or in this case, shot.

If she was silly enough to go out with him and liked the bad boy image, thats her problem I'm afraid and now an innocent guy is dead and another in a bad way because of a domestic dispute they tried to help with.

Not that im on anyones side, but the population of America is 300 million as Australia's is around 20, so maybe the percentages are close. I worked it out a couple of years ago, cant be bothered tonight.

Yeah its highly unlikely whoever did this will be released from jail if found guilty so I would be very suprised if its a peacefull arrest when hes caught up with. Just hope no innocent persons are in the middle again.

Call me selfish but I would leave the evidence to Police in the form of fingerprints,DNA, Video Footage, otherwitnesses etc etc if I had seen something (in this case or any other) I wouldnt have seen anything. Not just for fear factor but also I Dont have the time to be in court on $10 or $20 a day for anything upto weeks. There was that asian guy shot dead the other week in his house who was a key witness in a drug trial. Mmm not worth it IMO because chances are you will be the one they want to catch up with not Police.

You're selfish.

The only reason our system works as often as it does is because everyone does their bit when called up. Whether its jury duty (which is poxy), being a witness or whatever other role. If everyone had your attitude crimes wouldn't get solved.

I think this case will be a major turning point in attitudes.

Frankly, I don't think it bothers most of us in melbourne when the underworld are shooting each other.

And I used to live opposite a bikie gang. Never any trouble.. from anyone!... They kept to themselves and didn't hassle the locals.(Milperra they shot each other.... not innocent people in the street)

But when some gang member shoots and kills an innocent bloke, there'll be hell to pay. And not just from police. I would reckon the Hell's Angels will be pretty ****ed that this dyckhead has brought a whole lot of attention and trouble down on their heads. They don't want or need the attention

Agreed. When all that underworld stuff was going on. I couldn't care less, they made their choices, live with it; or dont.

But yeah, when innocent people are gunned down for doing nothing other than the right thing, thats just ****** to be honest.

Would anyone be surprised if he is found dead, of apparent "suicide".

Cops will probably find him just "hanging around" hells angels HQ somewhere, I dont think they would think lightly of this incident.

I am fine with the underworld doing there thing, as long as it doenst affect me or my family, it's all good.

You mean like importing and manufacturing drugs which are sold down to street level dealers, who sell to local users, who then break into your car and house and steal your hard earned stuff?

I'm glad they have nothing to do with every Victorian's life too.

Weren't the Police talking about "banning" bikie gangs a few weeks ago? Maybe this will give them a reason to act on it.
A stripper in a fight over drugs? or an I being too cynical?

It appears he stayed at a hotel (Holiday Inn, I think) just near crime scene last night and was seen as early as 9am this morning there

Years ago yes but with DNA, Forensic, Ballistic, Fingerprints, Video Footage, (Most of the time) Victims Statement...They do.

Good luck to you, but I would never get involved as a witness.

From memory a young girl got killed in this shoot out. If these flockers want to have a shoot out with each other go out into the scrub paintball style and knock yourselves out.

Yes from memory there was a few bystanders at Milperra that got injuried or killed, theres a movie being made at the moment about the Bandito's and Comenchero's leading up to this incident, not sure of release date though

I might be wrong but I didnt think the shot woman was his partner at all?

He infact bashed his girlfriend on the stairs of this Barcode nightclub (knocked her out - kicked and all) - the female who was shot saw it happen - went back into the club to raise the alarm.

Then as she is leaving soon after and getting into a cab this guy has gone for her - the bystanders step in - we know what happens from there.

Bit unfair to say its her problem/she's silly enough to go out with him. Perhaps she is not linked with this person in that manner. And besides I find those comments ridiculous even if she was his girlfriend (which I dont think she is anyway).
