Heh, me too. My mate was into chat at the time and I began talking to her..... A few months later we met up, and now it's been over five years and we're happier than we've ever been.

Met my ex husband when he lived next door to me. (wish I had've moved into a different place now)

Current partner I met through a mutual friend, bumped into him at the shops when I was shopping with her and was introduced. He got my number from her and we tried to organise a date, but couldn't find the time as we both had kids to consider, then finally got together when she had a house warming party. And to think I wasn't even going to go to the party.

I met mine on a bet. I was at a nightclub 3 parts full and generally crapping on about how easy it was to pick up chicks there (as all 24 year olds do) and someone called me on it. The bet was he picked the chick and if I left with her I won a bottle of bundy and if I didn't I lost a bottle of jim. He thought he was on a winner because he picked the best looking chick in the place who had a reputation as "difficult" for want of a better description.

I won the bundy and we were together for 19 years...........

Nikk was going out with a good mate.
That all fizzled, and we had seen eachother around, so it just sort-of 'happened'.
My mate's reaction was "If u get further than me, good luck to ya!!"
Been the 11 best years of my life, and I love her now more than ever.
Married since Sept. 98, and Junior (daugther) born Mar. 01.

BTW, he's still a top mate too.
I was even his best man at his wedding last Nov.

Geeky - but we met on the Net... Not intentionally - just happened...

Just had our first year wedding anniversary last weekend and have been together (since meeting in real life) for 5 years, 6 months and 2 days. Couldn't be happier

I tried that once, the mate and the girl didn't last too long. Though I'm still mates with her brother. Full of morals here!

Fordforums.com as well. I think most people know abotu me and Eamon (Cobra)... Met on the forums, then on IRC and then a lot of chatting on MSN. Came over to Geelong (where he lived then) in October 2004 and finally met him after chatting for months online... Smciner1 and THORNSPAWN among others witnessed that... that was the week I had my JMM gear put on my car.

Came back a few weeks later for my first Heathcote event, and we stayed at Portarlington on the Friday night before the drags with a few people (Hi Perana and Pursuit Chick!) and, well, yes.... Cobra was there, and we sort of hit it off... On the beach...

We just kept travelling over the next few months to and from Adelaide and Geelong... spending weekends together here and there until Eamon decided he wanted to move over with me and my kids.

He moved over on March 8th 2005, and we have been together since. Now expecting our son in April this year. I think he will be the first official AFF baby (ie he can thank his entire existance to the forums!)...

And yes, I do fondly recall Ben and Kel getting together not too long before we did... Good on ya guys!!!

Ill never forget the forums, mainly on account of it being responsible for us being together, and for the people on the forums who were there through the whole process!

I love him to bits!

Jac

At the Shepards Bush Walkabout in London. I actually met a few girlfriends in that place, but the last one became the wife.

I had been kicking around all the on-line date sites. - RSVP, Lavalife etc.

I even met some interesting ladies....

Met Jules on Yahoo's dating pages two years ago, getting hitched end of this month.

For anyone that thinks on-line date sites are lame or for retards..... you're wrong!
A lot of great women use these sites now.... as all the DHs have made them very unsure in the clubs and pubs scene.

I was driving along in my "grandma" corolla with a bunch of girlfriends and he was in the next lane in his XR8 ute...He was hot so my friend leaned out the window to aks if he was single...he said yes so we got him to pull up at macas so I could get his number. Four months later I wrote off the XR8 (into a telegraph pole) and he still asked me to move in with him!!! We've been together 18 months and hes converted me from being a Holden fan...not much of a challenge...and I no longer have a Grandma car!
