I do that when possible, but at some servos it's really tight and it can be more effort than it's worth to turn the car around.

I used to fill from the wrong side by bringing the hose around the back of the car, but my Grand has a capless filler so it doesn't work properly on strange angles.
You even have to use the funnel that comes with the car if you want to refuel from a jerry can. Regular funnels apparently don't fit in.

Me too.
Easy to remember for the ute now, but the old euros don't have the arrow. They have a locking cover that locks with the central locking, but still have to manually pull them open. So the 'remote open the fuel filler and check wing mirrors' trick won't work for me either.

Never mind the side its on...

every bloody rental car I get it takes frustration to find the bloody lever to open the flap...

especially when its buried on the floor by the side of the seats.
