Here LPG was 49.9 about 2 months ago... went up to 56.9 overnight stayed there for two months and last week went up to 62.9 overnight...

No idea what petrol is doing though..

Yeah, I've got no idea anymore. Got Unleaded at $1.02 yesterday - same servo is up to $1.18 today. I give up. 4:

When I fill up 2 full tanks a week, the price of fuel varying so much can make up to a $20 difference in what I pay each week. That could be around $1000 difference in a year depending on if I can correctly guess when to fill up :(

I have read we should not expect any movement down in fuel prices as it’s not a problem of the world running out of oil but the world demand for the stuff is now outstripping the ability of getting it out of the ground, mostly China is the reason. Here in WA, China's demand for Iron ore is what is driving our booming economy.

Funny you know, I can afford to buy the fuel at the higher price because I work in WA's booming economy. Isn't capitalism great!!

thats rediculous LPG is a waste product there is no reason why it should be going up in price like that

I was happy, got sick of the car beeping at me wanting more fuel...

Petrol went up to 119c from 111c here. But if you follow the way the petrol companies work here it goes on a rotational basis. Sometimes it takes one extra day for the price to rise but you can pretty much pick when to fill the tank up.
Just because the price of oil drops doesnt mean the price of petrol will drop instantly as when the oil is bought it takes about two weeks for the petrol price to adjust. (processing, etc).
You can disagree with me but I notice that price of petrol keeps it's price when the price of oil jumps up dramatically. What I would like to know was what was the price of petrol a year ago when oil was at $59 a barrel (obvoiusly two week after the price of oil was $59 a barrel).

is there some law about how much a fuel price can fluctuate in a day ?

i drive past my local shell servo every day, idrive past at 10am this morning , ULP is 116.9 , drive past at 3pm its 126.9 !!!! crazy bastards do it like every week, jump up and down 5-7 cents overnight

I didn't think I'd ever get to : this thread.

Hard to believe considering that crude oil was trading at $78 US a barrel last month. It has dropped $20 US in the last four weeks and is back under $60 US a barrel for the first time in 8 months!

dont get too exited im sure the oil companys love these wholesale drops more than we do the price of diesel hasnt come down in line with oil prices imo

Yeah I brought this up a few weeks ago. What is it with LPG price???
When petrol's up gas is down when petrol's down gas is up?!?!?!
The oil co's are giving us a right royal bollocking is what I think!
LPG is a by-product of the fuel production process and should be consistently a set proportion of the cost of petrol, not like a seesaw in opposition to the price of petrol.

When I first got my WRX I was paying $1.60 or so. Now I am paying $1.30 or less. I'm not complaining, as money is fairly tight at the moment. By the end of today I would of spent $34k all up for it, including the nearly $3k this week.
