Id say the ST will end up with the Mazda3 MPS engine or Ecoboost engine (same block, different heads)

Ford's lighter (more fuel efficient) direct injection Ti-VCT 2.0 liter EcoBoost will most likely replace the old Volvo T5 engine found in the current Focus ST.
The 2.0 EcoBoost will start with 149 kW and supposedly can be tuned to 205 Kw. I guess this would be the perfect engine for the next Focus ST.

The standard 149 kW 2.0 EcoBoost SCTi will replace the 2.3 liter engine in the S-Max, Galaxy and Mondeo, more powerful versions will most likely replace V6 engines and Volvo T5 engines in some models.

In North America they announced that the first North American application(?) of the 2.0 EcoBoost is expected to make over 230hp (172 kW), this version will most likely be used as the standard engine for the upcoming unibody 2011/12 Explorer.

Actually, we wont get this Focus until early 2012 - http://www.fordvehicles.com/cars/focus/2012/

I'm going to go against the trend in this post and say that i like it and am sure it will be even better in the flesh. I think the sedan is a nicer car though and the interior looks the goods.

Not too sure about all the driving aids that there coming up with, it will certanily aid in car safety but i actually like to drive and feel a car not let computers drive for me

The 5Cyl turbo engine used in both XR5 cars is being dropped from production. I don't think we will see an XR5 version at all. Maybe a 4cyl 2 litre turbo, but the 5 potter is gone.
