King dragon
Have had these for some time due to my links ex China got it on a very good deal.
Don’t know how they rate in the big picture.
Thing goes like a cut snake - the power slides are epic.
Tears up the grass.
On the road tears up the rubber.
It’s in the box for I’ve been lazy to get parts after a couple of collisions hitting gutters during the sons use.
Busted rear axle etc…..
Overall they are fragile to me yes doesn’t help hitting a gutter lol but temperamental.

What did you break on the fiesta? Most parts are available pretty easy for the more common brands of cars. Thats the main reason i bought a traxxas. Im not super keen on the brand per say, but the stock parts are everywhere and theres a massive aftermarket for modifications.

Actually not a lot to be honest.
I just havnt been bothered to get it going again.
Ill grab some pics of it later on. It definitely needs a new shell though, as the uprights were punched through it and they are a little bent also but not that bad i could definitely bend them back.

Id only not long got it going again before it was run over by 2 tonne of car, its still in pretty good shape

Body shell, thats just asthetic, but suspension stuff. Provided the chassis is good, theres 2 trains of thought for that. First is replace broken with stock, second is what i tend to do, if its broke, thats a good enough excuse for upgrades.
Anyhow, whats the make and model of the fez? And whats in it?

Oh nah ill happily drive it as is. Still drives straight and what not.
I definitely need a new lipo charger and a couple of fresh lipos.

Ive now been looking at another RC car

Traxxas ultimate desert racer has my attention. or even a 4x4 Traxxas Slash

Or one of these, really wanted one many years back.

So, dissapointly i went with the traxxas maxx.
But it was kind of like an ugly pet from the rspca.
I got it cheap, so 700 yet they retail at about 1000.
4wd wasnt what i was used to or after. I was a 2wd person. But, i learnt to adapt to change.
And by change i mean throw a **** tonne of parts at it to make it handle.
Anyrate, belted tyres, they're a game changer. Maybe not so much on a road/rally style rc with lower profile tyres, but off road things. With the larger sidewalls etc, belted tyres are so much more predictable as they dont balloon and stuff.

My 4x4 Slash was bullet proof, after i upgraded some parts on it. Chewed through the standard driveline parts, but once upgraded i flogged it and it never missed a beat.

The maxx isnt bad. I just find the limits by pushing past the limits. So take stock of the limit where it broke, fix it, do the same for another system, fix it, then do what i do now. And thats the cosmetics as to pretty it up, i know its limits. I'm still not going to be nice to it, but i know what it'll do.

What i think is interesting is simply the sheer variety. Everything has its purpose.
I think the coolest rc car i bought my son was a kyosho mini z. So he also has a ¹/10 scale monster truck but he's pretty bad when it comes to asthma. So the mini z is a 1/32 scale full function little rc. Something he can run on the kitchen floor in winter when the heaters on and he is off school. It surprised me on how fun the little thing is. Its not something you'd run outside, but being as small and nimble as it is, i reckon its a good peice of kit.

Don't ask my why i do stupid things, i cannot give answers for that.
But i ordereded a 6s esc and 6s batteries for my rc car.
Yes i have a charger capable of 6s. I seriously am a sucker for punishment. If its not driveline, or suspension its going to be the motor that cooks itself. But hey, whatevever

So very much buy now reasearch later on the 6s esc. But not terrible. So the 6s esc is for a 1/8th but has the same mounting points. However, its 4s backwards compatible, but has 2 battery connectors. Theyre in series and the thing its off has 2 battery trays. So 4s = 2x2s batteries, 6s=2x3s batteries. My truck has 1 battery tray. Not the end of the universe. Just take out the series link and re pin the battery connector so its just one. It'll run my existing 4s batteries fine. 6s, well, im still running the stock 2400kv motor so my estimate is 2 runs on 6s and ill be over the moon, but 3rd run the motor will be toast. Take your bets.

I have a few drones, but then drifted to something else. I have a Radiomaster TX16 that will bind to multiple protocols of receivers, so I’m not stuck on Specktrum etc.

A couple of them I can, and are more fun in the wind, as they have gyro systems fitted, which keep the plane level if there is no input from the transmitter. The rest I could as my skills improve.

I was always too scared to get a plane, for obvious reasons

You could always start with a foam built plane with a gyro, and there are simulators you can connect your transmitter to.

If you crash a foamy, they’re easy to glue back together, and off you go again.
