Are the prices quoted above including GST ? if you have a GST exemption do you take off the 10% GST ? OR is it that these prices are before GST is added ?

A friend of mine visits family in Germany every few years. I've known him since the late seventies, and he has always raved about the cars over there. His uncle works at Mercedes, and they got some ridiculous discount like 50% of normal sale price for being an employee...the only condition was that they had to keep the car for something like two or three years before selling it. His uncle was just a line worker but had, at last report, an E class Benz that here in Oz would be parked in the managing directors car space.

Any employee would be able to help you, just inbox them and they should be able to price one up for you.

So a XR6 is $28000 and a XR6T is $32000. Do you have to add $2000 or so for the dealer delivery and rego costs etc.
Im keen for a Sunburst XR6 or XR6T pending price

Few questions, * Is the discount from the RRP (which i'd expect) or current driveaway deals? * Is it a national promotion or Victoria only? * Is it an actual flat discount percent? * Or is there a pricelist of vehicles? Can someone PM me please.

I did. I'm getting a little excited. My mate - new vehicle sales manager - was going to bring the T&C paperwork around tonight to have a look at. I was busy at work and only had a few minutes to chat, but it didn't sound like a flat rate (mentioned in the thread). Which is why I was wondering if it was a national or Vic only promotion.
Anyway, i'll probably have the info at hand tomorrow.

The price list in the email states internal use only so it would be unwise for anyone to link it up here.

Took one for a drive about 6-8 weeks ago. Damn nice, huge grunt. Refined. Plenty of tech.

Already have an FG Turbo, the old girls done 135,000km in a little over 4 years. Time for a new one, will get a manual this time though. Have been looking at Rangers, but for $36,000....how can anyone go past a turbo Falcon? Seriously that's madness. Retail on mine was $49,000 in 2009...

After doing a little Googling, as I couldn't seem to find it on the Ford website, it appears the MLP for an XR6 turbo sedan is around $46000 for the manual. Is that correct? If that is correct, wouldn't that make the discounted price be around $36000-$36500 plus $2000 plus on roads etc? So around $40k?

What is the RRP of the XR6 turbo then?
What is the process? Just ring up a dealer and ask for Ford Family and friends pricing? Then phone a friend? Last edited by naddis01; 11-04-2013 at 10:56 PM. |

I'd just like to add. Kudos to Ford for this. It's a way of clearing some stock and rewarding some of the faithful. But by being a limited program available to friends of ford and not the general public. This, in part, protects retail pricing and in turn, resale values. Something Ford have said is a part of there long term strategy.

You need to know an eligible Ford employee, retiree or contractor that can sponsor your application/purchase. They will email you the documentation which you then take to the Ford dealer. The dealer will deal with Ford HR directly.

Why do I have the feeling that this Friends of Ford "limited offer" may be extended in time to match Holden employe pricing...

Is the near 32 on the road driveaway? Or plus 2k plus on roads?
Is there someone on here who would like to be my 'friend'? I would be willing to compensate. |

I mentioned this to the missus last night and if this is running with the update model then we would get a TX (as much as I want a XR6T). Do they do it on the Tdi's?
