The Territory for them was just a sunday project.. really they havent had to design anything they didnt already have laying around in parts bins... Its okay and it will sell but its a little underdone for lower end age bracket. |

I've actually been a fan of this car but the stripe just doesn't work. In fact it's bordering on embarrasing. I guess it's 'only' a stripe..lol and was the cheapest way to make the vehicle distinctive.

Clearly not. At a time when they should be working there hardest they have thrown there hands in the air and said its too hard, lets wait for the new model. These model changes in the broad would have been programmed in 3 or 4 years ago. So todays issues should not be a surprise. The F6x (dumb name. who apart from an enthusiast will remember that!) should have been to market 12 months ago to keep the momentum whilst BF fades at the end of it's model cycle. Can someone find the sticker guy, throw a chair at hims and say, ENOUGH! How can they think stickers will work. It is 2008 FFS. It takes more than that. Dave_au "TL50 all over again". Yep fantastic car no one will buy. but I love my T..... Too much for my brain.........going to lie down now, used:

It seems this is the engineering way of FPV. Is it no wonder that "we" and our stripe package have become the butt of much ridicule? I agree. This for me is a disappointing lead in to Orion FPV and perhaps that is where I should stop. A performance Ford should not be defined by a stripe package in this day and age. "FPV- Stripes are not the saviour you seem to think they are."

agree with what one guy said about not releasing it at all, if they're not going to produce something exciting, dont release it at all, should've just saved that money for the FPV Orion. What's going to stop a turbo terri owner to spray paint the bumper and add new wheels? just not enough differentiation IMO. But with the F6 engine, man it'll go hard :evil3:

Suitable rubber not being available my bollocks. X5s run 19s and 20in wheels with suitable rubber, the X5 4.8 is probably no slower than the FPV

What were FPV thinking. I dont know why they even bothered to bring out a FPV version of the Territory. I remembered thinking a year ago that a normal turbo version would be almost pointless.
May turn out to be rarer than the Phase 4 in a couple of years. |

Whats the go with the brakes? 6 piston up front & only single at the rear. Come on. They cou;d of fitted bigger wheels if they tryed a little harder. The price tag should be atleast $10 000 cheaper, if they want to sell any of them. A few nice little bits & pices on the SUV but not enough over all. Plus it's a FPV & it need to stand out more from the other cheaper Territorys, thats why you buy a FPV in the frist place.

Who the hell put that together? Externally it actually looks worse than a Turbo territory!! The wheels look like they are off a stock model, the stripe looks like a budget package additive. The only plus is the interior. FPV, pull your finger out, put a few dollars into some new plastic bumpers, some decent wheels, even what was on the concept car F6X, and then maybe you might have a 70K Territory that might sell and not another lame duck Force series.
I am passionate about this as the misses has indicated she wants a Territory next. |

Incorrect...
If I could make two changes to the vehicle it would be: * XR/GT Style headlights * 19/20" wheels. Then it would be fine...

We expected a similar level of differentiation between the F6X and normal Territory as there is between a GT and Falcon XT. |

the difference between the F6X and TTG should be the same as there is between an XR8 and a GT-P

Its an FPV sleeper car. Who cares it doesn't look as good or different as a GT, would it really be the reason for handing over 75k

A couple of points.. Territory is a "softroader" not an all out performance platform, so i don't think it will ever be the car of choice for the boyracer "bells and whistles" consumer regardless of how loud its exterior is, hence why it looks understated, im pretty sure it will apeal to a more mature market as a cross purpose vehicle with a bit extra. apart from the wheels and optional stripe aside i think its pretty good.
