Master of puppets and ride the lightning for me,
cranking "for whom the bells tolls" and "master of puppets" is just awesome, simply awesome!

We need more Garange inc. Votes :(
I can see where the older generation are not liking RTL, couple of the songs on there are already starting to jump into "mainstream" haha.

I've got a few metallica songs from it, but dont know if it's a EP or actual album. Any help?
its a demo.

im not sure, but Dave Mustaine, now the front man of 'Megadeth' played lead guitar on it.

the song on it "The Mechanix" got changed/slowed down to become "The Four Horsemen" after Dave was kicked out/fired/left, and Dave kept it as "The Mechanix" and put it on Megadeth's first album.

I cant believe someone voted for St Anger....surely they are taking the pi ss?

Its too tuff a choice between the early stuff. Puppets, Lightning, Justice, and Kill 'em All (aka Metal up your ****).

I love some of the tracks in the Garage, Load and Reload but not the whole albums.

hey for all the fans that loved the raw ripping speed metal sound on Kill 'em all , you gotta atleast do yourself a favour and check out Oz band Vomitor and their first LP "Bleeding the Priest". Its dirtier, faster , uglier and one would believe that they brought C. Burton back from the dead on bass...hehe :sm_headba

Ill go with Master followed by Justice then after that Ride.

Still cant knock any of their stuff even St.Anger which is getting close to the line of knockable.

I chose ReLoad, but it was a tough decision over the Black Album. The reason I picked ReLoad is because the song that got me into Metallica (the Unforgiven II) was from that album.
Tough choice... tough choice...

It's hard but i'd have to pick Ride the Lightning probably because it's the first one I bought. Master of Puppets is a very close second

Everything after the black album is rubbish, and before you ask yes I have them all

I voted Ride the Lightning because its the one in my collection that I'm listening to at the moment. All the old albums are good you cant realy pick one. Although I havent heard Kill em all yet. Might have to go buy that one.

The Black Albulm is over-rated IMHO, songs like Fade to Black, and Battery, are the real Metallica

Anything prior to the Black album. The Black album was the beginning of the end.

How could you put people though something as cruel as finding there favorite Metallica album :nutsycuck

I had to go with MASTER of PUPPETS, it was the first really in your face CD i bought and heard and i absolutely love it.

I still say they need a best of, mine consists of

Master of puppets
Battery
Whiplash
Nothing else matters
Enter Sandman
Sad but true
Fade to black
ONE (first of there film clips, my favorite all time film clip, watching it right now)
for whom the bell tolls
Blackened

Little fox

I voted S&M because it combines the old stuff with the new, with the orchestra behind it.
