Modern day tech ages well. People had these same silly concerns about power steering/windows/aircon/etc. Fact is paying 40k+ for a Falcon when all you get is a big motor and nothing else is pretty bad.

Sounds like a lot of modded Falcons in this country. Sad that in 2014 some still treat Falcons like elite, ultra rare supercars, they're just family taxis with big motors. Looked at Falcon resales values lately as well?

Cheap performance but I can't get over that boring shape, look at one head on and you'd think the designers just went to lunch early or something..

Great motor paired with an ageing Merc box but it still gets moving thanks to 465 pound foot of torque.

Reason you can't get them in manual is because they're gangsta cars made for those lazy execs who'd rather play with their gadgets than worry about which gear they should take the next corner in.

It's just a 2012kg cruiser with a shedload of torque but for me, a GT is still more appealing because it looks (and goes) like a modern muscle car!

I would even buy the new XR8 over this because that supercharged 5.0 has a lot more potential than the naturally aspirated Hemi 392.

Unless you're at the track or a hoon thats something that 99.99999% of the time isn't a factor in the real world. Roads are designed to keep the flow of traffic going along quickly unless its a tight mountain road.

Yeah heaven forbid owners and enthusiasts of a Ford product posting on a Ford enthusiast's forum think highly of the cars they own and admire What Ford do you own, out of curiosity?

I am not one eyed at all in regards to Ford, but I would have to have no eyes to take a 300C home :-)

I dont get how people say the 300c is ugly? Its an extremely nice looking car.

The only reason I like the fg is the supercharged miami and the i6t. Otherwise they are a terrible looking car. I wouldnt put the falcon anywhere near the 300c for looks.

the only thing that holds me back from buying the srt core is its almost criminal not to have a supercharged miami or i6t. So much potential

the 6.4 hemi wont catch miami/i6t once modded. But stock for stock it would more than hold its own..

every other part of the car I have the 300c way ahead.

As I said .... subjective!

But please ..... you do not have to 'get' why people do not like. Not at all!

Accept that they do and move on. We know you do not like the FG but many do. You love the 300c ..... some dont! You don't like the AU, many do ..... You do not have to 'get' that either.

There is nothing to 'get' ....... Get it?

I used to work with a guy who thought Ana Kournikova was ugly. Everyone knows Ana Kournikova is a stunning looking girl. Theres nothing subjective about it.

Its a bit like that with cars, they are either well received or not.

People use the 300c as hire cars and wedding cars. Because they have an awesome presence and timeless look. And because people will pay to be seen in them. Did you ever hear of someone asking for a FG as a wedding car / hire car?

Took a ride in exactly that configuration (black 300)a couple of weeks back.
If I were interested in getting a powerful RWD the 300 would be on that list.
What, you don't see the point of saving $10k and still getting the same engine, brakes etc? The core was brought out here to get under the luxury car tax, was such a hit the US starting selling them there too.

Boot design is awful. Falcon has have non-intrusive hinges since the AU.

Looks boring? That's a new one. I have heard everything from sick, tough, bling, ugly pretty much everything positive and negative, but never boring.
Slow, yeah it's is slow compared to a supercar.
Pretty much on spec with other performance sedans though.
0-100 in less than 5 seconds. What do you honestly expect from a 2 ton stock sedan.
You must be hard to please.

Might say something about where you live.

Where I'm from majority 300 owners are 30-50yo aged men who dress in respectable clothing.
Only seen one gang banger driving one, but he looked like a wannabe gangster anyway.

I'd be tempted to buy one if I wanted a sedan.

No, like I said, personally I would rather spend the extra 10k (plus LCT) and get the creature comforts like leather seats, the better sound system, radar guided cruise, etc. What they take out is worth more than 10k anyway.
For me it is a compromise, I have to spend every day in the car so I want to be comfortable and enjoy the car in everyday driving conditions. What they rip out I won't see in performance gains anyway.

Obviously that's not for everyone.

Similar demographic to most FG GT owners when you get down to it.

It's interesting to read thread after thread on the forum lately running down the local product since the announcement re the end, but it's refreshing to have some other vehicle being pronounced the ducks guts than the red team. Well except notably for Rogs threads

Seriously, they're a good value car, but not so different in concept big *** car with too much engine and quite honestly that's the bulk of the appeal. But they're not everyone's cup of tea. Just like FG isn't. That's life.

Hulk are you going to buy something one day? Unless you're just stirring the pot do you have any intent of buying one? I'd consider one at that price to live next to the ute if I had a spare 50k. I don't like the look, but the donk is pretty special. Oddly that was exactly the mindset when I bought my FG.

The Srt-8 is great value for money, its nice on the eye to!

you know..I still don't understand why they didn't allow the falcon to be sold in the states.
were they worried it would be so popular that they couldn't keep up with demand?

or was it the fact that a vehicle produced by australia was better than what they could offer? alot of american's have said they wanted it. it should have been over there 10 yrs ago and they know it.
