Yes, that doesn't really help Falcon win support.

Australia is only getting the EcoBoost 4 and GT 8 with Performance pack. The 6 isnt making its way over.

But a 4 cyl?

I assume the Mustang will be on sale with the XR8? So will be interesting to see how they price it? The XR8 will be more powerful, so which one becomes the premium product?
The 4 cylinder is 225 kw engine. Nothing to sneeze at and with an expected variance of between $10,000 to $15,000, I am sure it will find a home.

If you like your I6, then why wouldn't you have a 225kw engine in a car that is lighter and more agile than a Falcon? After all ..... the biggest selling Audi in the world is a 2lt Turbo in the A4.

The Mustang will not be selling with the XR8 ..... or at the very least, overlap extremely slightly. It will be done by then. The Mustang will stand alone and with a V8 ... again ..... with similar power out put as the 5.0 S/C AND in a smaller, lighter car, well you can do the maths Also, the Mustang will be sold (assumption) at a similar price or marginally cheaper than what I would expect the XR8 is going to be.

In conclusion ...... the Mustang, power wise, will be extremely similar to power to todays GT and the XR8 ...... N/A
