Why did my comment get removed that said it looked like a rice burner. Its on topic. No swearing, and its true. Do all comments on a topic have to be positive? Every body has an opinion, or can there only be one on this web site.

They all got removed for clogging the thread with six inane posts in ten minutes.

You wanted to see how far you could push....you found out.

Looks like a terrific car. I love the colour & wheels in particlar.

I'd be willing to pay a bit extra for it if it's packing a few extra kw's.

I also like seeing a lot of those horse badges removed. Sure, the mustang is an iconic American car but I can do without all those horsey badges plastered all over it.

The bullitt delivers on that front as well.

Would like to have seen it in a 10-speed auto.

Think I would have been a buyer if they had.

I was at one point.

I bought a low kms F6 while I was waiting though & that was that.

Would like to have had both & regret not doing so (although not from a financial point of view).

Went to my local dealer in an eastern Melbourne suburb and registered my interest in purchasing a 2018 Bullitt Mustang.

As most would be aware, Ford has said that the car is coming, but there are no details yet on how many. That said, I was told many dealers have taken deposits on cars that there is no chance in hell that they'll be able to supply.

I am in a queue of a dozen potential buyers at my dealership. I was told that many of those twelve will drop out (can't wait, bought something else, etc)....but this dealership has stopped taking money and is now only taking names.

One dealership a little further out has taken money from FIFTY buyers. Understand that most dealers will get only ONE car, some will get a handful and a few of the bigger guys may get up near double figures.....no-one is getting twenty Bullitts.

If you've laid down money on a deposit for a Bullitt, understand that in most cases your dealer is expecting to swap you into a red GT with OTT stripes.

Cheers boys.

Bullitt Mustang is normally a special that approximates a regular production model,
there's not normally a limit on the number built, usually a time limit of about 12 months.
Having said that Aus will still have a set allocation but it's one colour in Manual only so
they could make a whole run of them for RHD markets especially with forward orders.

750 units is the number I heard coming to Aus, not sure how accurate that is though..

Thank goodness for Ford that hasn't totally forgotten the enthusiasts keen for a V8 in this country without spending all the ankle biters inheritance . Makes me wonder how aggrieved our fellow V8 fans are over at Holden .

Okay , okay Mustangs in general aren't likely to sell as a main stream offering and the special Bullitt one won't be available in big enough numbers to satisfy all but at least some Aussies will get the chance to get one . Imagine if the GT 350 or GT 500 editions were made available .,.Even a few ..That'd be cool too .

C'mon GM before it's too late , sling over a nice few Camaro's or Corvettes and Dodge whack out a bunch of Challengers ,Demons or something to give the Mustangs something to battle with and enjoy .

Motoring in Oz other than the now done and dusted Falcons and Commodores will be increasingly dull without a few nice new V8 from the land of the free and home of the brave revving up the joint .

Interesting as Ford Au claim not have a date yet as to when they will arrive here, don't think it even goes on sale in the US until this summer (US Summer that is)

Cheers, interesting.

I'm led to believe that Japan won't be getting the Bullitt, so that leaves the UK and Australia as the RHD destinations.

The only way I can interpret "build specification sheets" predicting build numbers is to assume the sheets are indicating 750 RHD units are to be delivered from November 2018. The UK spec is likely to be similar to the Oz spec.

The UK to get 250 and the wildly successful V8 loving sales market of Australia to get 500?

All dealers are taking deposits.

No dealers have an allocation.

The customer who paid you the deposit today will NEVER get a Bullitt.

Yes they do, my dealer had 9 allocated with 8 deposits of the first round of 250 units, they have one unsold, that is at the time the allocations came out mid April.

Really, and what inside info do you have that's superior to a dealer?

Get back in your box
