Maybe a small cam would work well (you could regrind yours and it would still have the stock EA cam in it ). A wade 1160 or 952 should idle like stock and just have a little more kick. It will be the easiest and cheapest way to get more power.

will get you your 100rwkw anyway.

The battle of the stock engines!
In the Blue Mist croner we have InitialD!
In the Pearl Green croner we have Dellboy!

Dellboy last time on the dyno came dead last in the field.
InitailD the challenger has never been on a dyno, and if the auto holds together could produce a upset win.

And lets get ready to rumble!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i've got a question since we're talking about AFR's... My AFR at WOT is around 13. My timing is fairly advanced... I don't know how far i just advanced it until it sounded bad and then put it backa bit. If I retard it say a couple of degrees should this get it to around 12.5 and give me a little bit more power?

Now that is a matter of debate in my book the car in question that beat me with 97.7rwkw on gas, when it ran on petrol it only got 95.6rwkw I believe.

Official records:
100.0 kw Gunns - Eseries - Manual
97.7 kw James (Gunns Cuz) - Eseries - Auto(?) EB Falcon
97.3 kw Dellboy999 - Eseries - Auto

So the big question is are you happy with that, and can you post up your dyno sheet.

Hey there KilaED welcome ot the forums.

Crow, Wade, or possibly JMM (Jim Mock Motorsport) are the places to look.

Got some more specs on your car, EA/EB/ED etc, auto or manual, any other mods, planned mods, and what budget do you have to play with or have in mind.

EA_Bender, that's a mighty fine (and scary!) dyno readout! So that's just with idrium plugs and the exhaust/extractor setup?

My 5.0 (when stock, and running rich with an AFR of 11.0 from memory) only managed 110rwkw :

(off-topic) Where on earth did I post "Don't chop the dinosaur daddy!"???

w00f (hehe)@me finally being quoted!

as 'nice' as the EA cam looks in terms of profile... honestly, a cam upgrade is one of the cheapest mods u can do... why stick to the EA cam!?

I reckon all you NA guys should do a group buy on 150HP NOS kits! Stuff trying to get 10kw out of the suckers, get 100! If you blow it up head down the wreckers and go again!

Once you get tired of it at least you can sell the kit, they don't really lose money...

Just to see how far it can go NA, everyone always just says upgrade the cam, but has the possible limit ever been explored.

Having said that I will ditch it in the near future for another cam.

It is a lot of work though. If you had a verneir gear and chip you could play around a lot and get the perfect setup, but it will cost a lot of time and money, and maybe get 110-115rwkw. You could get a better result in a weekend with a $120 regrind cam.

Im not saying dont do it - I would be interested to see how far you could go. But if it is the end result you are after there are much cheaper and easier ways of doing it.
