How would you go about having your information removed as I feel this is a privacy issue, There was no consent to publish such pictures, and therefore a violation of one's privacy.

This may aid in the wrong use of this type of information.

Its too good. My missus was photographed checking our letterbox without anyone asking her consent. We saw it today and she feels violated.
Pity they didnt disguise her face or car number plate neither!

If any of us randoms were to just run around taking pictures of houses and listing them connected to an address it would be most likely stalking. At the least there would be legal ramifications. But a big software company does it and its ok?
I call and want my house picture removed!

HAHA, I just checked to see if I was at work... I am, in the car I sold in the first week of Jan...

The best bit, is that (as my office fronts on to a known Red light district) there is a 'woman of the night' sitting waiting for her next customer!

Woops, better keep a low profile next time you see a car with a camera coming along love.... hahaha

I think the photo's were taken around Jan, maybe even towards the end of last year. The building where that AU was crushed in Canberra is still under demolition. That happened Mid to late January and that section is still up. So I think maybe around December 07.

Cool

The photos (in my area at least) are over 1 year old!
The house I'm renting (for a year) had a garage built before we've moved in but it's not on the picture on the picture.

+ Monash Uni area is also over 1 year old as the buildings that are now almost finished are still only car parks on the pictures.

Google Maps just increased the resolution of the images- I've been using Google Maps/Earth for few years now and AUS didn't have the full resolution (unlike USA), but now we've caught up :

What I have noticed is the ariel shots are heaps older than the street view...
My house differs by at least a year, and my factory easy 8 months..

Ralliart, it probably wont update, they may do it every year or two, but I doubt it. They had a team of cars drive around every street in Oz with a camera on the roof, Doubt they are going to keep doing it. plus that WOULD be an invasion of privacy if you could see updated pictures.

My house has my car in the driveway getting washed. Luckly i'm not in it. Only had the car since January so they are fairly recent. and probably still in summer time.

I keep looking for things that will give away exact times here in Adelaide.

The Crazy Horse is advertising some stripper appearing in October and November.

Trying to find cinemas with boards that are readable about what's showing to kinda pinpoint a time.

There's a sign at the end of Jetty Road advertising something for a weekend in January. There's also a guy around in front of Krypton Discs on Jetty Rd whose face isn't blurred, but all the people around him are.

All I can tell is most of the ones I've looked at look like summer.

And I still haven't found my car yet, my bloody street got bypassed in the photo taking process :( And I've sussed out the front of all my mates' places and can't find it.

Edit - and I sussed a servo, fuel was $129.9/L if I'm reading the zoomed in picture of their sign properly.

Edit 2 - On South Road it was 22 Degrees near Cafe De Vilis!

I had a gander earlier today, looks pretty cool, the only problem I have with it is that my car rego is plainly visible. I'm sure there are many out there who are noticing this and want something done about it.
Fair call it is in plain view of the public regardless but people who would not normally be able to view ones car rego's and places of residence (i.e. your neighbours) are now able to do so and this is where I believe the invasion of privacy lies..... I don't know if there are any legal terms for it but surely there are some lawyers on here who can shed some light on any sort of action that may be taken.

Adelaide photos appear to have been taken around Christmas time, because I have seen a few Santa's and everyone's lawn is brown.
Very clever though!
Great photo of our house.
