ohh well whatever i decide on, at least i know half the people like the idea,

but i think the spoiler is going, im going to find another bootlid and get it resprayed, get the boot chrome done in bronze or gold (inc. fairmont badge and key hole).

I voted spoiler, although I am not a fan of spoilers in general.

I chant to my son "Spoilers spoil a car" cos he wants a doofa 4 cyl FWD when he gets a car and I tell him that there is no point in having a spoiler on a FWD and anyone who does this imho looks like a complete d*ckhead tryhard f*ck knuckle...

I think this one looks pretty good actually cos it's not disrupting any view etc.

Then again, with smoother lines (ie no spoiler) it might look even hotter. I wish there was a category for "I'm not sure - show me before and after shots and I'll tell you my opinion!".

PS it's a friggin gorgeous car btw... yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuumy.

Hi adam.. I was going to do the same as you, get another boot so i could swap between no spoiler and spoiler. THats because i love the look without it, and have always wanted a full kit car with no spoiler. However, i also now like the look of the GT wing.. (Used to hate them BIG TIME, but after owning it, i now love it :( )

In the end i couldnt be ****ed, and i just take it off when i want (re-did the wiring) , takes about 2mins, but you will have the holes in the boot.

lol nah look if you wanna have a piece of metal on your boot to look good, then go for it. I just think, specially on FWD's, that they look tryhard, and I have a good laugh when I see a Charade all doofed up with this huge spoiler the size of the back window sticking up from the boot...

I agree with you there bindi, for the most part anyway. I voted spoiler myself too, I think it really depends on the car and the spoiler. Personally, I think that particular model looks sexy with or without the spoiler.

But lay off the "spoilers spoil a car" bit - my Escort has spoilers on it, and I think they look naked without them, particularly from behind. And I know that at least the ones I have DO make a difference (so they're not just for looks) - only problem being that you need to be doing above the speed limit before they make a difference. But then again, my Escort isn't FWD

Im a fan of if it has a spoiler leave it there. If it doesn't have one ... dont put one on.

I voted no spoiler on a EL due to the fact that i like the look of them without a spoiler. You should leave it on though because it looks good

Hehehehe, s'ok bindi, the world would be an incredibly boring place if we all had the same opinions and tastes.

But I agree, particularly on Hyundai excels and stock (FWD, EVOs are different I guess) Mitsubishi lancers, spoilers do scream "little d*ck" to the world.
