I went for the pedders sports rider P/N 9834 for the rear with the kings superlows and left the stock struts with the kingsS/L front. Had the front end shimmed with the alignment and after over 40,000 showing no abnormal wear on tyres. I found the Ghia rear shock's to bouncy with a full tank of fuel.

Also it took me about 2 hours to change the front and rear springs on the AU IRS with a 18mm socket for the front upper balljoint removal.

I had a bit of a search to find a combination which would deliver Ghia comfort and XR6 cornering. I went with Kayaba shocks - which apparently have a kind of progressive valving - with lowered, progressive K-MAC springs. The car is remarkably smooth over rough and uneven sealed surfaces. Softer and quieter than the original Ghia suspension. But it hardens up on corners. Not quite enough though. Its a big compromise between ironing out the rough stuff and cornering flat.

We fitted a stiffer rear swaybar to see if it would help - but that's really the wrong solution.
