yeah so agree that its marketing. after like a million holdens adds i saw one ford add. And as for us young blokes,.... i get asked this question all the time .
" " why did you buy a taxi? " " no matter what you do.... its a taxi. and then you compare falcons so large/bulky to the sleek designs of ricers or even the holdens. |

Perhaps if they targetted some reknown consultants or specialists in the Automotive industry who have had prior experience with the failure of a key product group then maybe there would be some hope for the Falcon. However, I am starting to doubt that Ford Australia will be able to support a business case for a new falcon after 2014, and in my own humble opinion, I think the future for Ford Australia will lie in the Focus and not the Falcon |

To all who think the V6 is a better item I look forward to the day Ford have these motors in there new cars and are tested in real world of consumers so you all can eat your words....And yes I do aggree that it is a good idea to have a globel motor in Ford vehicles...

It won't have the torque of the I6, but the difference will be minimal. The engine will be lighter, more efficient and have better technology. I think it is used in some of the US vehicles now (Lincoln, etc), I may be wrong the though. |

Power in a Modern Package
Our new 3.5-liter Duratec 35 V6 engine produces 197 Kw's and 339 Nm of torque with a 3.5-liter displacement unit, but it's the same height and width as the less powerful Duratec 30 V6. I thought the Falc was getting this engine.

remuneration should be based on performance.if a CEO/management team are offered a reasonable base salary but massive bonuses and incentives based on actual productivity/sales performance you will find the people who apply for the job are the ones who truly want to make it work. cheers.

Ford's situation won't be fixed overnight. The I6 was a good engine, but simply not cost effective to get it Euro IV compliant for such a small market. Where else can the engine be used besided barges? Seriously the new V6 will be good and is currently used in the following: * 2007–present Ford Edge * 2007–present Lincoln MKX crossover SUVs * 2007–present Lincoln MKZ * 2008–present Ford Taurus * 2008–present Ford Taurus X * 2008–present Mercury Sable * 2009–present Ford Flex Not many like change but unless change happens this company will cease to exist. Stop being so narrow minded, quit looking at the present and look at the future of the company, the industry. There are job losses in all industries, usually due to a downturn, loss of contracts or simply innovating and trimming the fat. There are jobs out there, people just need to look, don't be too picky and have the right attitude to working. Problem with this country is too many people want everything but don't want to work for it. Well we're starting to see the result of that. If Ford can get an update of the Territory out with Diesel and LPG options they might be able to get somewhere. The Falcon is pretty much where we will see it, I don't see it improving. The Australian car market has grown, we have so many good cars from different manufacturers and a lot of them are better than what is on offer here (don't get me wrong the FG is a great car, but sadly not want people need anymore). I believe the Territory is the key, Focus will help but it needs more exposure and time (The Corolla has been out for decades, the Focus here for 5 - 6 years).
