these seem to be the ducks guts Kris. As for the coil, I bought mine off ebay for $100 brand new. Its a Delphi brand. This was months ago, no issues to date with it.

Don't see how the gasket would have blown out unless the bolts were loose already. And loose bolts could explain the backfire?
BTW I've read bad reports of Eagle leads, I think in LPG forum.

The leads from QIL are $85 plus postage, and they will generally do it that day, and in any colour you want, lol.

when you say its running rough? do you hear a knocking sound? Could be any number of things. My old man had problem with his oxygen sensor last year. Might have to take it in hook it up to computer and read the codes..? Sounds like you've tried all the obvious things... good luck anyway.

na no knocking sound... when it was running rough it did sound like a misfire..
then after the backfire and the gasket breaking, it sounds like its running on 5 cyls, which is understandable, seeing its missing a piece of the gasket.. i do wanna change the oxy sensor too though, but yeah, i think i've found the problem.. cheers

Whatever you do, avoid the Top Gun leads, I tried them, they're pretty ordinary in an LPG situation. I run Eagle leads and haven't had any issues with them, great leads for the price. don't know much about the QIL leads but they get good raps; and if you have deeper pockets look at Ice Ingitions leads.

Shav runs them as well and....they're blue!!! Anything made by Bosch is generally pretty good.....German precision engineering QIL - lots of people seem to like them. Quote:

As for my leads I have eagle 8mm LPG leads in black. Havent missed a beat. But if I were to change, it would be to 9mm QIL in blue or Grey.

It's all about resistance, the lower the better especially for LPG. Do the research and go for the lowest ones you can find.

I've got a rough idle in my LPG GHIA & it was the leads...
BUT the 6's are known to do inlet gaskets cos the gasket is quite thick!!! If some of the manifold bolts lossen up or the gasket weakens it lets go. Thus creating the rough idle.... |
