It's been done. Was featured in a edition of street machine a while back. It was a black EL XR6. Had a sound system that added so much weight to it...

The Windsor us the way to go. Even if you got ahold of a wrecked T-series motor. (200kw-Series 1, 220-S2, 250-S3), & sold off your motor. That would be different. Not entirely, but something that hasn't been done to death. But it's your build.... Take some advice, make your own decisions. Go for it.

Engine conversions cost alot as u will have to make custom extractors which will cost a mint due to no room to work with plus all the other added crap, and to be perfectly honest a BOSS 260 to me isent that crash hot.

If u were to go Coyote 5L id say consider it but there's nothing like a windsor and the cheaper way out would be 351 block, and no bigger than 205cc heads in AFR/TFS so Diffilippo extractors fit as 225cc head needs custom extractors due to port size and bolt placement.

Get a fiber glass BA/BF bonnet with buldge so u wont have height issue's with manifold and extra deck height of 351 block and ur set.

Also 15k aint much once u add in ecu, fuel system, drivetrain upgrade's and all the other bits and pieces.
