I love a good red, burgundy too....and a sharp yellow. They just look the good on most cars. A sharp purple is the goods aswell.
So sick to death of seeing white, grey, silver and black (unless is matt). Speaking of which, yesterday i saw a matt black lowered FG debadged XT on black steelies with niteshaded rear lights. That is the bee's knees!!! Not boring as bat shi shi..

I would imagine it would be similar to aluminium colours - you can get a custom colour, but you need to purchase a minimum quantity, or be charged a premium, but that's mostly because they have set production runs for colours. I don't know why Ford don't do it, particularly if the customer is paying for it...but it may have something to do with this

You think Falcon is boring? Check out the Mondeo colour range.
http://www.ford.com.au/servlet/Satel...apper&site=FOA I get the impression they're aiming it at the older, more conservative buyer...

I think viper is the pick of the current colours but definitely nothing like the choice on offer in the B series. Blood orange, rapid, bionic, toxic, phantom, all awesome colours.

I think they must be marketing the falcon to the older/family market whereas the smaller cars like the focus still have some colour & are marketed towards younger people.
One thing that sold me on my car was the colour Blue Flame, deffinatly wont loose this one in a carpark full of silver & grey cars. Here is a pic. Plus an example of some of the focus colours that I think are pretty cool. Ultimate Green & Electric Orange |

Those colours are cool - but there's people out there with a little bit of adventure when it comes to colours, who just aren't able to afford that kind of vehicle. I get it that the turbos stand out a little more as they're a premium car, but I'm hoping to see this kind of colour in the Fiesta to be honest.

I wanted my FG in Bionic and when they were released I was hoping Nitro was going to be near enough the same colour. Still a great colour as is Dash an you can never go past a Solid Red, Silhouette is nice to but only when its looked after.
In your face colours should be available as a choice even if the car has to be built. But I can see how Ford would want to keep away from having to build large numbers of one off orders as it would play with people driving away cars sitting on the lots. Its only going to get worse with this worldwide platform ****.

I missed one very important B series colour, RAPID yellow! We sold many in QLD, I did hear it wasn't that popular in the city because of taxis? I may be wrong.

One more bit of interesting info on the B-series colours, Sharon Gauci was in charge of colours/trims back in the day, guess who hired her for the VE Commodore..

I wonder how much responsibility the union will take if their strike causes ordinary people inconvenience or expense? Or do they not care......... |

Right now i'm staring at a Seduce G6, Vixen red XR6, Dash XR6 and i'm currently driving a Viper XR6 6spd. No shortage of colour around here! We've also got Nitro and Sensation on the yard, an Octane GT, Vixen F6 as well as a Harmony coloured Terry which is really nice.
It's just that most buyers prefer white/grey/silver and dark blues which is why they don't sell as much.

Please go the bright colours.
Here's an experience - driving late in the day with grimy spectacles after work and entering a road from a side road, suddenly a dark charcoal/grey-ish sedan appears on my left. It was descending a hill, sun behind, in shadow of trees and almost impossible to see against the damp road. Niiice. When there were lots of sodium vapour street lights, red cars were hard to spot too. |

I'm a visual person and bright colours stimulate the brain. it was a tough choice between orange and green. Mine is Octane, btw.
