Put a supercharged 3V built Barra with a powerglide into my LTD as well as airbag suspension, bring the exterior back to immac original condition but in the Subaru pearl white, 16in gold-chrome 100spoke wire wheels with white walls and paint the grill and garnishes, badges and any other chrome gold-chrome to match heheheh pimpin...
Not much to do to the interior actually.. New chain link steering wheel? haha

Pretty simple and something I actually considered until foolishly selling it...
* Car: Our old 1978 XC-Update Fairmont GXL sedan. * Mods: fit the 4 liter 6 cylinder and six speed ZF auto (auto shifter is standard XC one, modified to suit ZF shift patter) from a current Falcon. Suspension: Rack and pinion with strut front end fitted (RRS?), and rear suspension upgraded to suit...if money was no option, modify the chassis and fit the entire rear suspension unit from a new XR6 Turbo ("performance suspension" one). Car fully rewired and the original interior retained, the only modernity being a single-DIN pop-out screen fitted to show various information. My needs are simple... |

I'd ship my XC off to the states and get Barry White to make it into a SMC.
They put on thier Wrecks to Riches facebook page this morning... "W2R fans, how would you like to own your very own version of an SMC?" "We are working on SMC packages for the cars you already own! and we have financing! More info soon!" SMC XC = WIN

buy a ba xt falcon:
spray it white, lowered on 17" black ceptors, standard look, put a proper roll cage in it, put in a 9" diff with shortened axle, a fully forged xr6 turbo motor, a big T4 high flow turbo, 2 SPEED auto in it, and start running 8's as a sleeper!

Mine's simple.. take my FG XR6, put a brand new 335 s/c engine and running gear in it, sunroof, dump it by 2 inches or so, put some dark coloured 19' wheels and that's it... alternatively I could just buy a new GT but for the sake of the excercise, we'll use my 2009 FG shell for the job

Iron out the body panels and good quality respray of my EL. Oh and I'd replace the woeful stock brakes. $3500-4000?
I would then take another $10k ish and buy a tidy ZG. Not immaculate but not a worn out clunker. I'd wanna be able to drive it and not freak out if a bird poops on the paintwork. Preferably 351 but a 302 would be fine. Freshen it up and possibly rebuild to run on ULP.

I'd give my XB coupe an NRE twin turbo big block, 6 speed, massive brakes, 18's front and 19's rear. Full Supercar spec cage, painted Daytona blue with silver accents

Bit unfair as such. Anything is possible with the right amount of money and the right nowse, including this. So how about a bit more flexibility To my to do list. Make the POS reliable. I'm sick of it breaking down every 3 months. Something different every time. Or perhaps, spend $1 on matches and fuel.

EA Falcon (it has sentimental value)
Slightly lowered, (~$500-$1000?) Wide mag wheels - really nice ones, (~$1000) Tinted windows, (~$600?) (T56) 6 speed manual conversion, (~$3000?) 302W conversion, (~$1000-$2000 for doner car) Straight LPG, (~$2000-$4000 depending on kit) Respray (including colour coding bumpers, cutting out all rust, etc) (less than $1000 as dad is a spray painter/panel beater) Fairmont interior conversion, (~$200-$500) Covert sound system, (~$3000) XR8 dash cluster, (~$200?) LSD. (??? no idea) Realistically (since I'd be doing all the work besides the painting) I could do this for under $15000, I have no idea of what prices for most things are and can't be bothered researching since this is just a little bit of fun. I'd want the best of everything so I'd be willing to pay top dollar (seeing as how its free and all). Secondly; 1976 F100 XLT Custom: ~$10 000 for a decent one with a 351C. Rebuild engine (~$2000-$3000) - I'd want it to be super tough (T56) 6 speed manual conversion, (~$3000?) Get F100 4WD running gear to custom install with the T56 (??? no idea) Straight LPG, (~$2000-$4000 depending on kit) Extractors, twin 2.5inch system ($2000?) Respray, cutting out all rust, welding in new metal (same as on Falcon) (~$2000) Covert sound system, (~$2000) Rechrome the Sunraisa wheels (??? wouldn't expect it to be more than $1000) Refurbish interior/install Bronco interior (~$500-$1000) Could probably do this one (including purchase of vehicle) for around $30 000, once again I have no idea on prices. Then, go back in time; grab myself an XY GTHO, XB GT coupe, XB GT four door, XR GT. I would also get Holdens and Valiants but this isn't the place for that. I'm not trying to get flamed for this, I realise my prices probably aren't realistic but I'm having a go at it.
