Nice one lol , A few yrs ago was giving the old man a hand doing roadside litter collection on greenmount hill and spotted a black tripod mounted money maker so we pulled up right in front of it and did a nice long clean up and "safety check on the effy while we were there , amber flashing lights and signs all going

(Yes we were allowed to park anywhere on the side of the road as long as it was safe and legal )
Not much the operator could do but jump out of his hidden white van and just watch us

, we got bored after about 1/2 hr and moved on

They take photos of people all day. They should be happy to get some of themselves.
Didn't you automatically feel a million times safer the second you saw the camera car.

The operators here have blinds over every window which are always shut. They probably sit in there all day playing with themselves to pass the time. Why else would they need blinds.

Don't know plarazza. How would you feel if people harrassed you in the same way while you were working? Or if that was your mum or sister working in that car, and she comes home upset with stories about creepy blokes hanging around her car with a camera?

I do however use the term 'working' loosely here - I know they're not really doing much. And I don't like the cameras either. But still. They're just ordinary folk trying to put food on the table and get through life as best they can just like the rest of us. Keep some calm perspective about you - I'd suggest a much more effective and appropriate course of action would be to take up your issues with someone higher up the chain, or air your grievances with your local member.

I think you'll probably find that it started out as a bit of a rant in regards to speed cameras being hidden behind bushes to obscure them, and has snowballed wildly off topic since then

Just because someone pays you to do something doesn't mean that a) it is the right thing to do and above contempt and b) is worthy of the respect of others.

Perhaps she should have skipped past the camera job on seek.com and looked for a job that would be less hated like telemarketer or real estate agent.
