a recall is proactive,
when crap isn't recalled that's when you should worry.

Or are you talking about the cheap Asian crap that simply never rates a mention, but still gets a Holden badge on it. Plenty of those...... My view is he was sacked.....the recent turnover rate in that position, the future looking bumpy and zero glowing praise for a guy with a job well done but moving on to bigger and better things! Yeah he was sacked..... |

yes they have probably all done it, some seem to do it a lot more often though, one has to question why is x more than y, but i was never any good at maths so i`ll defer.

actually XBGTFGTP does have a point.
I went through the Australian vehicle recall list for this year and Holden leads the charge with 7 recalls for its VE/VF Commodore, WM,WN Caprice and JG/JF Cruise Ford have 1 recall so far for its FG series 2 Eco Lpi Toyota have none for any Australian built Toyotas this year While yes a recall does give owners peace of mind, it can also give a bad image for a company. Its a 2 way street. |

Gm are selling well now... Opel is making a nice come back in Europe. Whilst Ford isn't... a bit of poetic justice for some on here perhaps. |

I wouldn't worry to much. I cant see Holden surviving after 2017. the big thing will be can the Opel Commodore win the buyers over. I cant see it happening to be honest,

that would be the one. it actually doesn't look to bad. I'm not worried about it being FWD but I think that is what will put people off it. If say the Captiva was in the top ten Vehicles sold. I'd say Holden would be safe. you never know people might flock to the Insignia??? 2017 is a bit away yet

Why don't you find out how many each company closed down since 2008 and then tell us about justice.

Maybe Opel will sell well the second time around.....as long as the customers aren't scared off from the last epic fail in aus! Maybe that's why old mate quit Holden.....he saw what was coming! |

Keep in mind, a recall might no be because of the vehicle manufacturer its self, rather problems with parts supplied during manufacture, something that can effect a number of makes. A key example being the sunroof glass that effected BA-BF falcons and VX-VZ commy's.

I don't know if it's changed but it used to be that if the manufacturer found the defect without external influence, it was voluntary to notify the public.
If the defect is found by another body then it is mandatory. ....or something like that. |

Some?
If Holden renamed themselves Chev there wouldn't need a lot of changing badges....I've started seeing Chev badges on Cruises now.

I also think that media release hints that he was asked to leave.
