OK; I bought some of a Ford dealer and they identical in almost every aspect except the Ford dealer ones have a bar code on each box and the are AGSP32Z while the others are AGSP22Z13 . My workshop manual suggest the FG should use the AGSP22Z13 while Territories use AGSP32Z. Did the dealer give me the wrong plugs? Can anyone confirm this and advise if there are any real differences between the two? Give the have the same 4.0 Litre inline six engine anyway why would they specify different plugs?

I think FG ran slightly different plugs, probably due to Euro 4 emissions.

we make & sell the genuine Ford parts labels. so get a fair idea

I realise that the Ford appointed/anointed OEM parts makers are not usually also printers so the manufacturing of parts and labels must be separate, but how does Ford control this to ensure labels are not sold to counterfeiters or even that a Ford appointed/anointed OEM parts makers does not put it on non approved parts they may also make? In any event, I guess with modern technology it also pretty easy for the counterfeit part makers to get their printer to scan genuine labels and replicate them.

I’m starting to wonder if my ute is a fake. Or possibly my whole existence is a cheap knock-off. :o

BA falcons and SX territory's use AGSP32Z
FG and SZ use AGSP22Z13
BF and SY AGSP22YE13

It’s a trick of the light that the white portions of the box have largely come out pale blue.

Measure the resistance in the center electrode, should see around 5k ohms .
The dud's I had were zero.

Overdue for an update, mine read around 4,45K Ohms so I am happy enough with them. Combustion colour on the plugs looks good, too.

Box said Made In USA. Could just be the box tho. Except for the 160,000 k's the ones that were in it had on them, looked identical as far as the nose, insulator and electrode went. Run just fine in the ute.
