The Rivian is going to be a most interesting vehicle.
It seems that they might be the 1st manufacturer to make a factory RHD Large Pick Up for this market.
I wonder how close in price it will lob compared to the cost of the controverted Rams ect.

They talk about having the feature of being able to do 'Tank Turns' in having the advantage of 4 motors / 4 wheels. Way cool.

An interesting Video for anyone who is into it. The Rivian will be a beast if it can be put together nicely.

Oh and it seems Clark Kent has a new job.

This thread would have to be the current AFF champion for the most posted links in a thread with little to no discussion. Followed closely by the Tesla thread.

Discussion involves disputed opinions.
I’m into facts instead.....from people with qualifications in their field.
Sorry if that’s inconvenient.

So, as long as there are sizable profits from fossil fuels we will remain at a standstill with respects to infrastructure. Can’t upset the current money stream for govco and the corps that control them.

This Hyundai fellow clearly doesn’t know how to sell the idea. All he needs to say is “guys, electric cars are deceptively fast. Imagine the massive increase in speeding tickets!”

I believe the next Focus RS will be BEV, after initially it was said to be hybrid.

I’m personally looking forward to seeing what kind of punch this Mach will have. Ford has admitted that they will borrow the Rivian platform for an suv of some sort. Considering the Rivian has Tesla-like acceleration I’m hoping they were referring to Mach.

Not sure why they want a 6 speed box in it though when Tesla's only have 1 gear.

I like the idea of the 6spd, might give the electric drive line a bit of character.

Ok the manual gearbox EV Mustang is a one off for the sema show

https://www.theverge.com/2019/11/5/2...hium-sema-2019

all-electric Mustang with a manual transmission becomes a quirky, limited-run addition to the Detroit automaker’s multibillion-dollar push into electric vehicles — even if it’s more likely to remain the stuff of dreams.

But being able to easily see off a Dodge Challenger might be attractive to some also.
