The one I'm talking about jumped off a roadside cliff (cutting) between Cloncurry and Mt Isa. I don't think he even felt anything. |

The one for me is the moment it rains, Melbourne slows to a crawl like they all forgot how to drive, big *** smooth freeway lets all drive at 50km/h all of a sudden cause water is coming out the sky, makes me wonder if they have showers at home.
Given the smell of public transport, probably not |

Twice in the last Year while going straight through a roundabout I've been overtaken by people driving straight across the top of it, do you think they're trying to tell me something?

I saw a tradie in an old hilux with an iPad mounted on the dash. He was watching YouTube, scrolling and interacting with it while going 60kph in full view of other drivers. I couldn’t believe someone could be so brazen.

This was when I was living in Northern Territory with unrestricted speed limits. Was driving from Katherine to Darwin along Stuart Highway, and just out of Katherine there was a downhill- and I was trying to crack 200 kph in my modded Ford TE 4.1. Felt odd blasting past the Highway Patrol car at some 190 kph- having come from Nanny Victoria the sphincter did an involuntary clench.

Driving up a work track in SE Tassie once, I saw a bushfire whilst being in the midst of slight snowfall. That spun me out.
Also, one site there I went up the track, when I came back down a large tree had fallen across the only road out. No chainsaw, so I got creative. Working Port Hedland once, a wheelchair fell off the roof of the Cruiser in front of me, bounced on the road about half way between the Cruiser and my work ute, then narrowly missed my head as it went past the drivers side section of my ute cab. No time to react.

I have new Narva LED spotties fitted to my Ranger, and they are as bright as the sun. I used to dip for oncoming traffic coming over the rise at night before they crested, because I could see their lights shining over the hill. Because these LEDs of mine light up everything within a square KM I just don't get the warning that other traffic is coming anymore. Makes night driving so much easier and safer for me, but I admit I have been caught out by someone cresting a hill in the other direction My bad, not saying that's right but could be why |

I bet this savy Sydney motorist was slightly surprised when he tried to race the truck through the corner.
Everyday while there you hear air horns blasting due to boofheads at this intersection.

Taking an unpaved shortcut to a winery recently. A tree had fallen over the road so i had to turn around and consult the map again. Got there eventually.
The fallen tree already had a bloke onsite to clear it. But it was big and recent and was going to take a while to clear.

Today it was simply just a check engine light, powertrain light, and the traction control fault light. So i limped the car to the pub as it was in limp mode, turbo diesels with no boost suck. . My kid was the throttle man. Once again it was a sticky wastegate solenoid. Cant work on that when things are hot. Yeah fixed it, the mechanics who work on the car must be visually impaired as they had it for 2 weeks, got it back and its broken down 3 times in a week since. After looping a piece of data cable around the thing of the thing and getting boost back, mad. But it was unexpected.

Was in my EL XR8 a few years ago and was next to a Fiat 500 at the lights, didn't pay much attention. Anyway lights go green and next thing I know we're neck and neck. Hmmm, that was no normal 500... Googled it when I got home and it was 595 Competizione version.
And a long time ago in my EA, was next to Mercedes C class with a big ricer wing and bodykit. It smoked me... Worked out it was an Evolution 2.5 cosworth.
