You are right but the average driver wouldn,t wear a car out in 20 years, based on 20,000 kms/ year,considering that they are all good for 400,000

Look, I love I6's, and there's a good reason Prestige brands are looking to reintroduce them. The balance of an I6, with a piston firing every 120 degrees, is a beautiful thing.

But lets be honest, when you're talking about a Diesel, "smoothness" is a relative concept.
The Ford (/PSA) Lion V6, as fitted to Jaguar and Land Rover, is a great engine. (If only FoA had fitted one of those versions to the Terri, instead of the bastard 2.7, I'd probably be driving one.)

Today’s vehicles are not designed to last like older models did without owners needing to pay for lots of maintenance costs. Companies are getting smarter in lifeing parts and vehicles

The irony is that companies that currently offer seven year warranty probably don’t need to and those not offering it probably should.

The point being that the longer the warranty the less likely a failure will be due to a manufacturing defect. The optics is that owners think their cars will be fixed for free regardless.

Funny you should mention that, a couple of years ago I was looking to replace a couple of tablets, went to Hardly Normal where the salesman showed me the Samsung and Lenovo products.
I asked what the differences we're, he said not much except the warranty, the Samsung had 2yr whereas the Lenovo only 12mths, he then tried to convince me that the Lenovo was a better product and is why it only needs a 12mth warranty.
I just shook my head and backed away slowly.

Genuine Levono batteries are made by LG in Korea. LG Chem is also said to be working with Samsung to supply S11 batteries

Im not doubting the product, just the theory that a shorter warranty equals a more reliable product, whereas common sense says if a company is prepared to back their product for longer, they must be reasonably confident that its going to go the distance.
I ended up buying one of each from another outlet, the Samsung is still going strong, the Lenovo is slow and glitchy and now lives in a drawer.

Sorry about the delay but we've had no phone service here for a week.

However the point I was trying to make was that trying to correct someone's spelling (when the words would have been correct for a spell checker) was a bt rough when you seem to have problems knowing the difference between a comma and Apostrophe
