Harrigan Ford in Wollongong always used to wash my car. Which was cool. Now with a black car, I prefer they didn't touch it.

Thanks for the responses - an interesting variety.
I remember the first time I took a car to a dealer for servicing (a Brisbane Toyota dealer back in about 1995) and as I paid my money for the service, the advisor said something like "here's your keys sir - your car's been washed and vaccuumed and is waiting for you by the door with the air con running" (was a nice hot Brisbane summers day). That was a nice "extra" to get when forking out $$$ for a dealer service, and maybe I expect it from Ford. I am pretty sure that the dealers who have washed my car while being serviced in the past used the same people who was the cars for sale, so wouldn't be too worried about apprentice mechanics taking to my car with a dirty sponge. metro ford in the valley wash quite a few cars. A mate of mine had a pristine BA xr6 in phantom, when he got it back from southside ford they washed it and the paint looked terrible. His exact words were "mice have been ice skating on my car"

Ford used to wash ours. For the bloody price of the service I'd expect it. Since they screwed the car up. I never went back though. Dealer servicing. BAH!

Had 3 vehicles serviced at Keira Ford over a 2 year period and never had it washed (and one of those is a promo vehicle that actually belongs to them!). |

With water restrictions it would be silly to wash every single car.

I don't know where some of you guys are living, but here in regional Vic we've got pretty savage water restrictions. Most dealers don't have water recycling systems (although should have), so cars don't get washes .. they even have signs telling people not to ask.
Oh .. but I *NEVER* had a Ford or Holden dealership wash my car .. ever .. |
