I think the embarassment should not be with you, but with anyone who sees green as yellow!

: I might add that my original registration, which was done by ford in WA, was listed as green. Are Ford wrong, considering they invented the colour? I rest my case :

I think you will find that they list the most prominent colour first - as in yellow with a tinge of green which is what it is. Lynton says it is Green - Yellow but there we have it in black and white and BOLD - It is officially YELLOW-GREEN.

Thanks JC for helping me prove my point

That’s because they asked you the colour - and you said green because you are delusional, my friend.

I bolded the relevant bit. Now, they call it yellow-green, not green-yellow, so it is a green colour. I think that has to be end of argument?!
I wish to point out the fact that your "yellow-green rather than green-yellow" argument is purely your take on a phrase which could be interpreted any number of different ways.

I think maybe a Ford official should be asked personally if that is what was meant by the term "yellow-green".

I stand by my vote of yellow.

You should know better than anyone that when you buy a new car and take delivery, they do the rego for you, I had nothing to do with it in WA. In QLD it was taken off my WA rego when I did the transfer. My initial rego was done while I was on a plane flying to Perth, how did I have anything to do with it?

Oh, and VicRoads have on record that my XB is blue, but it is actually Deep Aqua.

Just because it's on file as one thing, doesn't make it right.

OK Woz, you can stand by whatever you want, doesn't make you right. Here's a simple english or logic lesson for you. In a dashed word, the first part is used as an adjective for the second part. ie it helps to describe in more detail the second word. So strawberry-blonde, is a type of blonde, not a type of strawberry. Therefore, yellow-green is a type of green, not a type of yellow. QED.

IT'S GREEN. The colour I used for this text is called Yellow Green, and it's a bloody good match for citric acid.

That would be because they only talk the base colour, which for aqua is blue.

Aqua is defined as: A light bluish green to light greenish blue, So whether they listed it as blue or green doesn't matter, as it ranges depending on the mix.
