Thanks Papa Smurf. Is that the same for a 2001 wagon? My workshop manual says the sedan and manual clips are different, but that may have been the case for AU1 only, not AU2.

Also, when you say the hose comes off, I assume that includes the clip as well?

Yes JC, the clip comes off as well. It is the same for any of the vehicles that have that type of fitting. Most NON-ford mechanics try to LEVER it off with a screwdriver? :O

My Max Ellery manual also mentions that there is another fuel filter in the fuel tank attached to the fuel qty sender unit.

1. Has anyone changed one?

2. Is it necessary to change?

I'm quessing it would be something like a preliminary strainer, so the filtration wouldn't be as fine as the fuel filter per this thread.
