I never got the chance to try it ... the one at our work was relocated to a different department due to laziness.

But I am sure a few of use in my department would have loved to have tried it. We also wondered how high he would bounce if you dropped him from our floor (13th floor of all floors ... LOL)

Those werent midgets, those were kids. I know they look similar to the untrained eye, their differences are slight but visible.

It is much more fun blasting along and not having to stress about road tax and if there is something coming the other way you can see it and slow down way before there is any possibility of a problem.

do you have to watch out for roos on that road? We have a road near the beach which is surrounded by bush which has claimed so many vehicles, and skippys, because they come out of nowhere. :gren:

Interesting to see where a gen 3 cuts out too while we are on it. I have never been over 120...yeah i know, im lame, but im a safe lamer with only a few points left who cant afford to speed :

Could be because you drive a BA and I was talking about AU's? (someone asked about the AU limiters). I have no idea what a BA can do above 122kph when it fireballs and I'm forced to smack into it with a triange.

Thousands of years ago I drive the first of the EFI Falcons (XE Fairmont Ghia actually) at an indicated 200-205km/h mildly downhill on a remote motorway somewhere.

Wobbled like an overweight whale though was fitted with 'good' H speed rated tyres. All the confidence of an economic depression.

Springs were later replaced, a good improvement.

I have somewhere a picture of my little old mother (73 at the time) driving at 140km/h on the F3 uphill years ago, it was the 'comfortable' speed for her.

Ive done the F3 in My XA @ 100 MPH (160kph) and that scared the sheet out of me with car wobbling all over the road, but my Honda's hit the 195kph and it was like i was in a limo. :

I sat at 245kph in my ba xr8 for a good 2-3mins, wouldn't go any quicker even tho it felt like it had a bit more in it. Ride & handling was supprisinly good, i was actually quiet supprised hw quick it pulled up from that speed as well as i hit the brakes hard to see how well it'd fair. Wandered alittle under brakes and chriped a couple of times (Yep hit em hard) but never left the lane i was in, can only imagine how good the brembo's are then.

I want to remind people this is a public forum, unless your reaching these speeds in a controlled environment, or at club runs, you have no sympathy from me when I just delete your post if I even feel these speeds have been achieved on a public road.

Yes, I have reached a top speed of 245 in my old Au2 Xr8, but that was on air strip as part of the Victorian Xr Club speed event.

There's a few roads out in the paddock that are unlimited, lanes 5 times wider than normal and nothing but horizen for miles on end.

Cool. Wouldn't mind removing the speed limiter and heading out to see what it'll run max out at.
