Simple answer with the taillights. Drugs and alcohol.

Let’s see. The VE front basically looks like a BA Falcon.
The bonnet scoops on the Coupe Signature look like a bad rip off of an XC Cobra.
The GTS seats look remarkably similar to the BA GT-P.
: is the VXR, an Astra?

What other innovations are they going to come up with?

HSV, the dealers can keep em’.

You can always "Improve" it yourself... :

Back on the topic of VE HSV, one word describes this car...

UGLY :

It may go well but that out side makes a VY or VZ HSV look nice and im far from a fan of them, seriously overkill with the Euro stryle they went for the could have gone more classy with a BMW M series style thing, but the Normal holdens look way to girly and HSV must have a serious ricer fan in the design studio :

Yeah, I just down loaded the brochure and had a look through it.

They look pretty damn good.

I give them the thumbs up for styling.

i really like the interior on the hsv range, the seats are to die for, and everything looks well laid out, i think the rear external shots speak for them selves, ONE UGLY MO FO.

I do not like that at all, the interior looks good apart from the gauges IMO, exterior is terrible.

Bahahahahah, to think we were scared of the almighty HSV. That thing looks freakin crap. It may go like a pig in s**t but it looks like ... well .. a pig in s**t.

Bring on the BF II FPV's !!

P.S. I like the VE range, but the HSV ...

I think it isnt too bad, I definately wouldnt go as far as some of the comments in this thread. I like the front, on a decent pic the tail lights look better than those spy shots last week, not a fan of the black strip down the side though and the gigantor bonnet vents.

Front lights look very similar to BA XT-Fairmont lights, and the more square body makes it look less pointy

Yeh I was a bit harsh myself. The interior looks great, but the wheels, front bar and tail lights arent my cup of tea personally. As many people have said, with SS tail lights and a toned down front bumper it would look a lot better.

This may be over the top, but the new HSV E Series is quite possibly the most ugliest performance car of all time. Dual Fog lights on the front bar boxed in by some stupid surroundings. The lower intake is a direct rip of the current BF FPV range, that looks *****house on a Holden. The side vent is ridiculousy huge that it looks ****erish. The front lights were taken direct from the BA. (Don't mide the wheels!) As everyone else has stated, the rear tailights are fugly and ripped off from Japanese ricers.

Overall: A Major disapointment which looks FUGLY. HSV have attempted to make up for this with the insanely crazy power and torque increase which verges on stupidity!

It doesn't look too bad. I'm not sure about the 4wd-style plastic skirt and bumpers on the Senator Signature. The Senator looks very bland, even to the point that the Calais exudes more visual interest.

The R8 & GTS look ok, but could be a bit more cohesive in its design. The rear does slightly remind me of a Ferrari but is more reminisent of the new MX5 (tail lights).

The red interior leaves a more favourable impression than the toyworld colour dash in the SS-V. But that grey interior looks depressing - too much grey.

The badge has nothing to do with it. They look like try hard boy racers. Heaven forbid Ford bring out anything this ugly.

Yes, they did think the AU was ugly, and they were correct. Possibly the most insipid Aussie car ever.

New HSV's ??...relies in the nice proportions of the VE, some of the details a bit dodegy....hate the matt black lower on the Senator.

Not sure if they are a huge leap over the FPV offerings...

Heaven forbid!! How easy we choose to forget the AU

meh.... it doesnt look tooooo bad i guess.... reckon an F6 will still wipe the floor with it, same torque levels, and we all know the f6 pushes more than the 270kw claimed by ford

You’re the one saying that pal. I think that the AU Falcons looked great. I’ve had two XR8’s and I have a Forte. The AU II and III XR’s were probably the most aggressive looking Fords of recent years. I still think that the T3 TE and TS 50’s are the car to have.

What’s try hard about the FPV rear wing? At least these cars have the balls required to need one.

FPV offerings have less balls than hsv offerings - sorry, but the gt-p wing is a shocker

Both companies make great cars.

The styling of the VZ was a tad out there.
But I like the VE
